  • Make the sauce: finely chop the onion, grate the garlic on a fine grater, cut the carrots into strips or cubes, chop the celery and bell peppers as finely as possible. Fry the onion a little, add garlic and vegetables, turmeric for a yellowish tint and add water. Simmer a little and add salt, black pepper, allspice, bay leaf. Finally, thicken everything with starch.
