Quick canned pink salmon soup with rice in a slow cooker

You don't always have time to cook dinner, but that's no reason to eat tasteless food. In a slow cooker, you can cook aromatic and nutritious soup from canned red fish, which will not differ in taste from other dishes. One of the advantages of cooking stews in a slow cooker is that you don’t have to monitor the process.

List of ingredients:

  • canned food - 1 can;
  • cream - 150 ml;
  • water - 2 l;
  • onion - 1 head;
  • carrots - 1 pc.;
  • potatoes - 3 tubers;
  • rice - 4 tbsp. l.;
  • salt and seasonings - to taste.

Grate the carrots and finely chop the onion. Turn on the “Fry” mode, pour oil into the bowl and add vegetables. Sauté for about 7-10 minutes, stirring. After this, select the “Soup” function (or “Cooking” - it all depends on the device), pour in water and leave to warm up under the closed lid.

Cut the potatoes into cubes as for any other soup, and rinse the rice under water. It is recommended to mash the canned pink salmon a little with a fork. Place the remaining ingredients in a slow cooker, add salt and spices. Close the lid and cook until the timer ends. As a rule, it takes about 40-60 minutes to cook the soup. The fish is already ready to eat, so you won’t have to simmer it for long. As soon as the potatoes and rice become soft, you can turn off the device.

The cream is poured in at the very end, when the multicooker is already turned off. It is permissible to leave the “Warming” mode for 10 minutes so that all the products reach.

With rice

To prepare you will need:

  • 600 gr. cod,
  • 250 gr. red fish,
  • 1 small sweet onion,
  • 100 ml homemade cream,
  • a handful of round rice,
  • 1 carrot,
  • a small piece of butter,
  • salt and black pepper,
  • fresh greens,
  • spices and seasonings.

Preparation

Prepare the cod for heat treatment: peel the scales, gut them, cut off the tail, fins and remove the head. Remove the fillet from the ridge and set aside. And put the bones with the head (the gills must be removed from it) and fins to cook.

Don't forget to serve fresh and crispy bread with your dish.

Strain the finished broth into a clean saucepan and add well-washed rice. Place the broth on the stove, turning on medium heat.

Advice! Instead of short-grain rice, you can use steamed rice; it does not need to be soaked, it cooks faster and does not boil in the broth, turning the first dish into porridge.

Meanwhile, peel and chop the onions and carrots, fry them in butter, first until soft and then golden. As soon as the rice is almost ready, add fried vegetables to the soup, cod fillet and red fish cut into portions. Let it boil, pour in the cream, stir.

Now you need to add salt and spices to taste, simmer the soup for a few minutes over low heat and add fresh herbs at the very end. Pour the finished creamy fish and rice soup into bowls and add a little freshly ground black pepper for taste and aroma.
