If you are looking for a recipe for a hearty, tasty and simple dinner or lunch, then I will tell you how to cook spaghetti with chicken in sour cream sauce. In addition to the amazing taste, it is also an incredible time saver.
Spaghetti with chicken in sour cream sauce
In the classic version, after boiling, pasta often turns out to be dry and unattractive in appearance, but with such an addition they will be appetizing and juicy - the dish will be eaten with pleasure by both adults and children.
Ingredients:
- Chicken fillet - 300 g;
- Onion - 1 pc.;
- Garlic - 2 cloves;
- Vegetable oil - 2-3 tbsp;
- Sour cream - 200 ml;
- Salt - to taste;
- Pepper - to taste;
- Paprika - 0.5 tsp;
- Oregano - 0.25 tsp;
- Spaghetti or noodles - 200 g.
Step-by-step recipe with photos
Cut the chicken fillet into not too large slices.
Fry the chicken fillet in heated vegetable oil until white.
Add finely chopped onion and garlic. Fry for another 7 minutes until the onion browns and the garlic releases its aroma.
Salt and add spices. If the dish is intended for children, then you should not fry it too much, and you don’t need to add spices at all. But sweet paprika does not make the sauce spicy at all, but gives the dish a very beautiful color.
Next you need to add sour cream and bring the sauce to a boil.
Boil until desired thickness, check again for salt. All. Chicken fillet in sour cream sauce is ready.
All that remains is to boil the pasta, spaghetti or noodles as written on the package.
And then you can mix the spaghetti with the sauce directly in a saucepan or frying pan, but I prefer to put it on a dish and pour the sauce on top. This makes it much more presentable.

. Cut the chicken fillet or any other meat part of the chicken into cubes. I didn’t chop it too much so that the meat wouldn’t be too dry.

. Place the meat in a frying pan with oil and immediately pour in soy sauce. In general, I love soy sauce, so I often use it in cooking, especially meat.

. Simmer the chicken in soy sauce without adding any more spices for 10 minutes. The fire is minimal, under the lid. After 10 minutes, add sour cream. But we do not mix it in immediately in the volume specified in the recipe, but gradually. The first 100 grams now, and the second in another 10 minutes.

. After adding the second batch of sour cream, stir in the herbs de Provence and simmer for another 5 minutes.

. Now add pasta, boiled until half cooked. If necessary, if all the sour cream has been absorbed into the meat, add more. Simmer the pasta and meat together for 3 minutes until the pasta is soaked in sour cream.

How to choose sour cream for sauce
To make excellent sour cream sauce, you need to spend a little time choosing the main product. After all, the final taste of the dish depends on the quality of sour cream.
- When choosing a product, first examine the packaging. Make sure that what you have in front of you is sour cream and not a sour cream product. Review the release date and shelf life of the product - it should not exceed 14 days.
If sour cream has a longer shelf life, it means that it contains a considerable dose of chemicals.
- To prepare the sauce, it is best to buy low-fat sour cream. It is best suited for consistency and taste. Chicken meat in “commonwealth” with low-fat sour cream will reveal its taste more.
- Be sure to buy fresh sour cream. Heat treatment will enhance the taste of the product, so stale sour cream will taste bitter.
- If you buy sour cream in soft packaging, then feel it for lumps. If the product is homogeneous, good, but if you feel lumps to the touch, refuse to purchase.
- At the market you can choose sour cream based on taste. It should not be sweet; real sour cream contains sourness, like any fermented milk product. If sour cream immediately melts in your mouth, it’s a good sign. Rest assured that the manufacturer did not use thickeners or other additives.
- The color of sour cream should be white or with a light cream tint. If the color is dark or uneven, refrain from purchasing.
Pasta in sour cream and tomato sauce
Ingredients:
- Pasta - 300 grams;
- Hard cheese - 100 grams;
- Sour cream - 3 tbsp. spoons;
- Tomato paste - 1 tbsp. spoon;
- Salt - To taste;
- Pepper - To taste;
- Butter - 20 grams;
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon.
How to cook “Pasta in sour cream and tomato sauce”
Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Boil the pasta in salted water according to the instructions on the package. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Melt the butter in a frying pan, add sour cream and tomato paste, stir and fry until the mixture thickens slightly and becomes homogeneous. Then add hard cheese, salt, pepper, paprika to the sauce, stir and cook until the cheese in the sauce melts. The sauce is ready.
