Many housewives probably know how to cook stewed potatoes, and everyone has their own favorite and quick recipe that won’t keep you waiting long for a tasty and satisfying lunch or dinner. And if you have a pressure cooker in your kitchen, then a delicious lunch will be prepared even faster. There are many options for preparing stewed potatoes. I suggest stewing potatoes without meat with vegetables.

To prepare stewed potatoes in a pressure cooker, take potatoes, sweet peppers, onions, carrots, vegetable oil, tomato paste, and spices.

First of all, peel the onion and carrots. Rinse and dry with a napkin or towel. Cut into small pieces. Carrots can be grated on a coarse grater or not added to the dish at all if you don’t like this vegetable. Pour vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl. Set the mode to “frying”. Fry for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are soft.

Add tomato paste or sauce. The amount of sauce can be increased slightly. Stir and fry for 2-3 minutes. Then turn off the frying mode.

Wash the potato tubers. Cut into large pieces. If the potatoes are small, cut them into quarters. Add vegetables to the bowl.

Rinse the sweet pepper and remove the seed capsule. Cut in half and cut into strips. Add to potatoes.

Pour in boiling water. Season with salt, ground pepper, bay leaf. You can add some more spices at your discretion. Stir. Cover tightly with a lid. Run the “stew/vegetables” program for 10 minutes in pressure cooker mode.

Being a lazy housewife who loves jellied meat, but does not like to tinker with it for a long time, I once bought a pressure cooker for this purpose - a saucepan with a special lid. I cook jellied meat in it very rarely - mainly on holidays, but I have found many uses for the pressure cooker and today I will share the recipe for my favorite dish cooked in it.

Stewed potatoes with meat in a pressure cooker is just a dream recipe for any housewife. These potatoes are prepared quickly, they turn out very tender, soft, and the meat simply disintegrates into fibers, giving all its flavor to the sauce.

Let's prepare all the products according to the list and start cooking. By the way, the quantity of ingredients, as well as the composition, can be safely changed at your discretion, you can take any meat, increase the amount of meat or potatoes if you wish.

Peel the potatoes, carrots and onions, wash the vegetables.

Cut the pork into fairly large pieces.

Cut the potatoes into large cubes, I cut each potato into 8 pieces.

If you want a thicker sauce, you can simmer the potatoes over high heat without a lid for another 4-5 minutes to thicken the sauce.

Of course, you can prove that it is harmful, that it increases your weight category and that a layer of cellulite grows in strategically important places, but potatoes were, are and will be in the diet of most people.

In principle, if you don’t strain yourself at all and take a step towards a healthy diet, then there is nothing simpler than boiled potatoes “in their jackets”. All you have to do is wash the tubers and throw them into the water. Well, make sure that the water, when boiling, does not try to escape onto the stove along with the potatoes. Simple and fast. But if you suddenly have a pressure cooker in your kitchen appliances, then you can reorganize and optimize for potatoes. After all, even just boiled potatoes will cook much faster in a pressure cooker. And the water will not run away, and there is practically no need to add salt.

So if you cook simple, unpretentious potatoes, it will take you about 10 minutes, depending on the variety and size of the root vegetables. Ten minutes, and then you either eat the boiled potatoes, sprinkle them with butter or sauce, or use them for further enrichment with all sorts of extras such as cream, minced meat and cheese.
