Zucchini lasagna with minced meat

Cooking process

First stage: zucchini, salt, pepper.

  1. Wash the zucchini and cut them into thin slices.

  2. Season each piece with salt and pepper and leave for 15 minutes.

Second stage: onions, carrots, peppers, minced meat, sour cream, tomato paste.

  1. Wash all vegetables and cut into small pieces. You can grate the carrots.

  2. Lightly fry them in vegetable oil and then add the minced meat.

  3. Fry for 10 minutes until the minced meat is ready, then add the mixed sour cream and pasta and simmer for another 3 minutes.

Third stage: zucchini, minced meat, cheese.

  1. Place the bottom and sides of the zucchini slices in the mold.

  2. Fill it with half the minced meat.

  3. Sprinkle coarsely grated cheese on top and place another layer of zucchini.

  4. Put the minced meat and cheese back in and cover with the zucchini.

  5. Sprinkle the top layer thickly with cheese.

  6. Bake for 40 minutes at 200° in the oven.

Cooking process

Stage one: chicken, zucchini.

  1. Wash and boil the chicken fillet.

  2. Cut the zucchini into slices and lightly fry in a frying pan.

Second stage: onion, garlic, salt, pepper, milk, flour, cheese – 225 g.

  1. Fry finely chopped onion and garlic in butter or vegetable oil. Add flour and spices, stir.

  2. Pour in milk and stir until thickened. Then add the cheese, stir and turn off the stove.

Third stage: cheese – 225 g, sour cream, eggs, zucchini, sauce, chicken.

  1. Mix cheese, sour cream and eggs in a bowl.

  2. Now take the mold and line the bottom and side with zucchini.

  3. Then pour in the sauce and add a layer of finely chopped chicken.

  4. Repeat this until you run out of food.

  5. Make the last layer with egg and bake the lasagna for 40 minutes at 180°.

    For lasagna with zucchini and tomatoes, we will prepare all the ingredients and, first of all, we will deal with the zucchini itself - an ingredient that will successfully replace the dough. We recommend using exclusively young zucchini for lasagna, since they are still dense and elastic and do not contain a pronounced seed area, which is usually removed during cooking. We need to get solid and thin plates with which it is convenient to lay out all the layers of lasagna. Cut the zucchini into slices 4-5 mm thick. Don't have any suitable zucchini? Don't worry, there is a way out! Zucchini and pita lasagna! With the help of lavash, you can secure all the layers so that they do not fall apart when serving.

    Place the zucchini slices on the grill or fry in a regular frying pan until lightly browned. You can continue the experiment and also take eggplants - lasagna made from zucchini and eggplants will definitely be remembered for a long time, because the taste becomes even more interesting!

    For the tomato sauce, chop the onion and bell pepper into cubes. Sauté in oil until softened.

    Pour fresh tomato puree into the pan.

    Before putting the sauce to simmer, add Italian herbs to the tomato mass. They simply perfectly highlight the pronounced tomato taste of this vegetable sauce and remind you of the homeland of origin of our dish! But if you prefer zucchini lasagna with bechamel sauce, it is better to add Italian herbs to the minced meat.

    Boil the sauce until thick to remove excess moisture and leave only the concentrated tomato flavor. There will be enough liquid in the zucchini, otherwise your zucchini lasagna will simply “float” in the oven!

    At the same time, fry the minced meat with salt and ground black pepper until cooked. Choose the type of meat for minced meat as desired - zucchini lasagna with minced chicken will be no less appetizing! In addition, if you make the minced meat at home, this zucchini lasagna with chicken will not contain excess fat that may be present in store-bought minced meat. If you wish, you can skip this step and you will get an equally delicious vegetarian zucchini lasagna.

    When all the ingredients are assembled, we begin to place the lasagna in the mold. A square or rectangular ceramic or glass shape is best suited for it. Zucchini lasagna in a slow cooker is placed directly into the bowl, observing the order of layers. Lay out the zucchini as the first layer. Sprinkle with a few pinches of dry granulated garlic.

    Spread tomato sauce over the zucchini.

    Place the fried minced meat on the sauce.

    Sprinkle the minced meat with mozzarella. Instead of mozzarella, you can use any hard cheese, suluguni or feta cheese.

    Cover again with a layer of zucchini and garlic and repeat everything again - sauce, minced meat, cheese, zucchini, garlic until all your ingredients are gone. If you chose zucchini and carrot lasagna as the base, place the carrot layer on top of the minced meat so that the meat has time to absorb the sweetness from the carrots.

    Be sure to leave a portion of mozzarella for the topmost finishing layer (it should cover the last layer of zucchini).
