When we pour water into a pan, it floats. We placed leaves on top to hold it inside the container. They will also add additional flavor.

5. Now pour boiling water over our corn. The water should cover it. So it will be softer.

These cereals are great for snacking. They can also replace a full meal. Today I will show you a recipe for making soft and juicy boiled corn with salt at home.

It doesn’t take long to prepare using this method. It turns out very fragrant and tender. Let's begin!

Ingredients:

  • Corn – 5 pieces;
  • Salt - to taste;
  • Butter – 15 grams.

Cooking process:

1. Corn must be peeled from the top leaves and fibers. Then you need to cut off the legs and rinse under running water. We throw out the top leaves and leave the bottom ones. They will still be useful to us.

Cereals must be chosen correctly. They should be uniformly yellow. The grains should be free of defects and distributed evenly along the entire length of the cob. There should be no places without them and no wrinkled sides. You also need to choose a variety. It should be sugar food, not feed.

2. Take a pan where we will cook our beauty. Place leaves on the bottom. They will give a very pleasant aroma.

3. Place corn on top of the leaves.

There is no need to cut it into pieces.

4. Then fill it with boiling water.

5. Now put the pan on the fire. Cover it with a lid. Bring to a boil and cook for 20-30 minutes. You can check readiness with a fork or knife. The grains should be easily pierced.

If you simmer it longer, it will overcook and become tough. Also, if you don't cook it enough, it will also be hard. Therefore, the time must be recorded.

6. I simmered the corn for 25 minutes. I pierce it with a toothpick. The grains are pierced well. The head of cabbage is also soft (if you pierce it between the grains). So she's ready.

It can be soaked with a little butter on top. Then you get a tasty and salty crop. Enjoy your meal!

Deliciously cooked corn, frozen on the cob

Young raw cobs can be stored in the freezer for a long time. This allows you to pamper your loved ones with delicious food during the cold season. The aroma of freshly brewed “queen of the fields” in the middle of winter will not leave anyone indifferent!

During the harvest season, clean the heads of cabbage from stigmas and leaves, wash and package several pieces in plastic bags. After defrosting, the cereal cooks very quickly and tastes just like the fresh product.

Required ingredients:

  • several ears of frozen corn;
  • salt to taste.

Preparation:

1. Remove the cabbages from the freezer ahead of time and let them thaw completely at room temperature.

Do not use water or a microwave for defrosting - rapid thawing causes the product to lose its taste.

2. Boil water in a saucepan and place the thawed cobs in it. After boiling, simmer the product over low heat for 25-30 minutes.

3. Add salt before serving.

You can freeze corn without the cobs by carefully cutting the kernels from the raw heads. The grains are packaged in plastic bags of 200-300 g. A portion of the thawed grains is simply poured into boiling water, and after 20-30 minutes they are thrown into a colander. The finished delicacy can be eaten with a spoon with salt and butter, or added to salads.
