At its core, a taco is a snack made from a thin round corn tortilla, folded in half, and a rich filling. Seasoned tomato, salsa or guacamole are used as a sauce for Mexican shawarma.

- corn flour – 1 tbsp;
- wheat flour – 0.5 tbsp;
- oil – 1 tbsp. spoon;
- water – 120 ml;
- salt – 0.5 teaspoon.
Preparation
- Mix sifted corn and wheat flour.
- Add salt.
- Heat water to 40°C, combine with oil and pour into flour base.
- Stir the dough initially with a spoon, and then complete the kneading with your hands, adding more corn flour if necessary until a dense, non-sticky dough structure is achieved.
- After 40 min. The dough is divided into portions, each is rolled out and browned in a frying pan without oil on both sides.

Wheat flatbreads can be bought in the store, or you can prepare them yourself using our recipe.
Any meat is suitable for tacos, choose according to your taste - chicken, turkey, pork and even beef.
There should be a lot of cheese in a taco. If you don't have Cheddar, you can replace it with any hard cheese that melts well.
At home, you can get by with an ordinary frying pan, but be sure to have a non-stick coating - the tacos are fried without oil. However, it is worth considering that the grill pan leaves beautiful stripes on the flatbread.
Step 1
Cut the chicken fillet into small strips, sprinkle with salt, pepper and cumin. Cumin seeds can be ground for extra flavor.
Step 2
While the chicken is marinating, prepare the remaining ingredients. Cut the bell pepper into thin strips and the hot pepper into thin rings. Rinse the cilantro. Cut the tomatoes into half rings 3-4 mm thick. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
Step 3
