Cookies with M&M's (MMdems) – 7 recipes

What will happen if you add the beloved M&M's candies to the dough for chocolate chip cookies? – The result will be colorful and festive cookies that will be appreciated not only by children, but also by adults.

Preparing these cookies is not at all difficult, but they turn out very impressive.

Ingredients

Prepare your ingredients. The butter must be removed from the refrigerator in advance so that it becomes soft. It is better to use M&M's candies with chocolate or crisps inside, because they are more compact in size. Mix sugar with vanilla.

Please note that there is too much salt for such a quantity of products; the finished cookies will taste sweet and salty. You can put less of it, then you get a sweet chocolate taste.

Line a baking tray with baking parchment or silicone sheet, preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

You can use a mixer to knead the dough, but as the famous Canadian pastry chef Anna Olson says: “Anything smaller than a glass can be kneaded with a silicone spatula.”

In a deep bowl, combine soft butter and sugar mixed with vanilla.

Mash them with a silicone spatula, then beat the mixture with the same spatula until creamy. Next, add the egg and beat again until smooth and fluffy.

Pour flour, cocoa powder, starch, baking soda and salt into a sieve. Sift everything into a bowl with the butter-egg mixture.

Start mixing dry and wet ingredients with a spatula.

Finish kneading the dough with your hands. There is no need to knead for a long time; as soon as the ingredients are combined, stop the process.

The dough turned out very nice, soft and not sticky, it holds its shape perfectly. If sticky, add a little more flour.

You can form cookies: roll the dough into a small ball, flatten it slightly between your palms and place on the prepared baking sheet. During baking, the cookies do not spread, but increase in volume, therefore, place the pieces at some distance from each other.

Lightly press M&M's candies into each cookie, thereby making the cookies even flatter. The amount of candy for each cookie depends on its size.

Bake in a preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. You can check the readiness of the cookies by pressing your finger on the middle - it will spring back. You can also insert a wooden skewer - if it comes out dry and clean, the baking is ready. Remove from pan and cool on a wire rack.

Chocolate cookies with M&M's are perfect for an everyday or holiday tea party. It just begs to be served on the New Year's or Christmas table.

Cooled cookies can be packaged and presented as a gift.

It tastes like brownie, but, unlike it, the cookies are not moist inside and are more crumbly.

From this amount of ingredients (depending on the size of the cookies) you get 18-20 pieces.
