Cabbage pies fried in a frying pan - 6 recipes for delicious pies

Pies are a dish loved by many. To be honest, it is with cabbage, and not with potatoes or meat, that my favorite ones are eaten; I like the combination of stewed cabbage with fluffy, soft dough.

By the way, in childhood, many people definitely loved and often ate pies: they were served in the school canteen, grannies baked them in their kitchens. I remember how happy I was when I found out that pies were being fried at home. And that’s why I try to pamper my loved ones with this simple and delicious dish.

But now proper nutrition is at the peak of popularity. Baked goods, and especially those fried in oil, are considered not good for health and figure. But still, sometimes you can and should eat this kind of food, and even prepared with your own hands at home. Pies in small quantities will never do any harm, but they will bring enormous pleasure.

So let's fry cabbage pies and surprise our families with a delicious and satisfying dinner.

Lazy quick pies recipe

Let's move on to the next cooking method. Quite an interesting option, I’m sure someone is hearing about it for the first time. Because all housewives prefer to cook pies with cabbage using yeast dough. Not only are the ingredients different, but the cooking process is also different. Let me give you a little hint: we will use cottage cheese in the composition, which is quite unusual for such a dish. But believe me, it turns out very tasty.

We will need:

  • Cottage cheese (any fat content) -2 packs
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Granulated sugar - 2 teaspoons
  • Baking soda - 0.7 teaspoon
  • Sour cream - 1/2 cup
  • Premium flour

For filling:

  • Fresh cabbage - 1 small head
  • Carrots - 2 pcs.
  • Soft cheese - a little
  • Salt, spices - to taste
  • Vegetable oil - for frying

This dough recipe is suitable exclusively for frying pies in a frying pan. Do not use in oven.

Preparation:

1. Since our dough recipe is quite simple, I suggest starting with preparing the filling.

Cut the cabbage into cubes, first removing the top leaves. Then put it in a cauldron and start frying in vegetable oil. In the meantime, peel the carrots. Then grate it and add it to the bowl with the cabbage. Continue to simmer the mixture over low heat, stirring occasionally. If necessary, you can add a little water, but be sure to drain it after cooking.

This is the mass you should get. Remove it from the pan to a plate. Next add grated cheese.

2. Now you can safely start preparing the dough. Take a deep bowl. Place the cottage cheese in it and grind it using a blender. Then add salt and sugar and mix again.

Add slaked soda and vinegar to the sour cream. And now mix these two dairy ingredients: cottage cheese and sour cream.

3. Add sifted flour in small portions. Stir the mixture periodically. The result should be an elastic, slightly sticky dough.

4. For our convenience, divide the finished dough into three equal pieces. We will put two of them under the film, but we will divide the third part into 4 equal pieces.

Then roll out the cake to a thickness of no more than 5 mm. Place the prepared filling in the center.

We pinch the edges of our cake. Turn the finished product over, seam side down. This is what we do with all the dough.

Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat it up. Then reduce the heat to medium, lay out the pies and start frying.

We will fry the products on both sides until they have a beautiful golden crust. It is preferable to serve this dish warm so as not to get burned by the juice from the filling.
