In the evening you need to soak a cup of peas in a liter jar of water. In the morning, the peas will swell and increase 2-3 times in size. At the beginning of cooking, I usually pour water over the peas and boil for about ten minutes. After which I completely change the water. It’s not for nothing that pea soup is jokingly called “musical” - beans can cause bloating. And if you drain the first water, this probability decreases :)
While the peas are boiling, peel and chop the vegetables for the soup: onions, carrots and potatoes. Place the meat, chopped vegetables and boiled peas in a slow cooker and fill with hot water. Salt and add bay leaf. Turn on the “Quenching” program for 2 hours.
After the signal, take the pan out of the multicooker, remove the meat and carefully drain approximately 2/3 of the liquid. Pour the remaining soup into any deep container (this is done so as not to scratch the multicooker pan) and grind with a blender.
If you don't have a blender, you can do this by hand (using a masher), but of course it works better with a blender. After processing with a blender, we perform the reverse procedure: pour everything back into the multicooker and fill it with the previously drained liquid. Add finely chopped dill and set the “Baking” program for 20 minutes. At the end, add a piece of butter to the soup. The puree soup is ready!
Divide the meat into portions and place on plates. Pour in the soup and serve.

The benefits of peas have been known for a long time. It contains many vitamins and minerals. It contains a lot of iron, potassium, calcium, zinc. It is recommended to be consumed by those who suffer from anemia. Despite this, peas and dishes made from them, especially soup, are dietary. The calorie content of a pea dish is only 60-75 kcal per 100g. We love peas in different forms - porridge, soups, purees. It especially helps us out during Lent, when dishes should not only be tasty, but also healthy and filling. I suggest you cook delicious, aromatic lean pea soup puree in a slow cooker. Ideal spices for this include marjoram, coriander, oregano, and celery. They will give the dish a pleasant aroma and taste.
We remember the traditions of Slavic cuisine
As already mentioned, our ancestors considered pea cereal to be simply an indispensable ingredient in the preparation of many dishes. It was added almost everywhere: to side dishes, soups, baked goods, etc. Modern housewives do not particularly like this porridge for only one reason - it takes a long time to cook.
But in vain! After all, peas are undoubtedly a healthy and nutritious cereal. It contains so many microelements and fortified substances that it is impossible to describe. And vegetarians even consider peas their meat. The described cereal contains a high concentration of protein, which is necessary for the muscles of the human body.
Pea cereal is very popular among housewives who have already purchased a multicooker. Manufacturers offer a wide range of such devices, and each of them has its own functional features. In this regard, a completely logical question arises - how to cook pea porridge in the Polaris multicooker?
To turn an original Russian dish into a real culinary masterpiece that everyone in the household will enjoy eating, carefully study the following tips:
- There are two types of peas on sale - whole and half. The taste qualities of these varieties are absolutely no different.
- Split peas cook much faster - pay attention to this when choosing cereals.
- Pea porridge in the Polaris 0517 multicooker, as in devices with other markings, is prepared in the following modes: “Grains”, “Beans”, “Pilaf”, “Stewing”, “Multicook”.
- It is recommended to pre-soak pea cereals in filtered water for at least 5-7 hours.
- If you don't have time, add some baking soda to the filtered water. Soak the peas in this soda water and after an hour they can be cooked.
- To prevent pea cereal from burning and sticking to the walls of the multicooker container, you can grease it with softened butter or add a few drops of sunflower oil.
- Pea porridge should be salted almost ready-made. Salt will slow down the cooking process.
- Pea cereals are boiled in a large amount of water. At 2 tbsp. peas require 5 tbsp. water.
- If the liquid has boiled away ahead of time, add a little more warm filtered water to the porridge.
- You can grind the pea porridge to a puree consistency by hand or using a blender.
- Do not add cream to the porridge. It will be tasty, but very high in calories, and the digestive system will then respond with discomfort. Butter or vegetable oil is what you need.
Vegetarian pea soup in a slow cooker:
Rinse the peas until the water runs clear (I used peas in halves). Fill with hot water and set aside for now.
Cut the potatoes into cubes, finely chop the onion, and cut the carrots into strips.
In a multicooker bowl, fry the onions and carrots on the “frying” or “baking” mode. Add spices and roots and simmer everything together for a couple more minutes.
Drain the water from the peas, pour into a bowl, add potatoes and salt. Mix carefully and fill the contents of the bowl with water.
Switch the multicooker to “stew” mode, cooking time 1 hour. If the peas are whole, it may take a little more time to cook them.
At the end of the program, pour the lean pea soup from the multicooker into another container and beat with a blender.
Serve pea soup with herbs and croutons. Bon appetit!!!

Peas contain a lot of protein and other useful substances, and the soup they make is thick and flavorful. The pea puree soup is especially pleasant to the taste and appetizing, which is prepared very simply in a slow cooker. It literally melts in your mouth and fills you with energy. This is food that gives pleasure and does not threaten your figure.
Cooking recommendations
- If the cereal is not pre-soaked, it will take approximately 2 hours to cook. The swollen cereal cooks much faster - only 1 hour.
- It is recommended to serve pea puree immediately after preparation; it does not need to be infused, as it thickens very quickly.
- Pea puree will turn out more tasty if you replace part of the water with milk and add butter at the final stage of cooking.
- Cook pea cereal in a slow cooker until the liquid is completely absorbed. If the cooking program has ended and there is still water inside the bowl, extend the cooking time for the puree by a few more minutes.
- When choosing cereals in the supermarket, keep in mind that split peas cook much faster than whole ones.
- To make the puree more flavorful, add 3-4 cloves of garlic while cooking the peas. Once cooking is complete, you can remove it.
- Grated cheese and fresh herbs can also become components of a hearty second course. They should be added a few minutes before the end of the cooking program.
- Cooked peas can be easily mashed using a regular masher. The dish will acquire a more delicate consistency when blended with a blender.
- You can select the desired cooking mode taking into account the duration of the heat treatment. Typically, Redmond multicookers use the “Stew” program for this purpose.
Now you can proceed directly to cooking. We will reveal the secrets of creating the most delicate pea puree that even a novice housewife can prepare.
Cooking features
For all its simplicity, pureed pea soup has cooking secrets. It wouldn’t hurt to know them for those who are going to cook it in a slow cooker.
- It takes a long time to boil the peas, but to prepare the puree soup, you need to cook it until soft. This takes a lot of time. Pre-soaking the peas will speed up the process and allow you to more clearly visualize the volume of the finished dish, because during soaking the peas grow 2-3 times in volume. Soak it in cool water for several hours. It is preferable to do this overnight, then by morning the peas will be completely ready to be cooked into soup.
- Peas, like all legumes, cause increased formation of gases in the intestines. This is not the most pleasant feeling. Draining the first portion of pea broth will help reduce the risk of flatulence, or at least the intensity of its manifestation. In other words, even before placing the peas in the slow cooker, you need to put them in a saucepan, add water and bring to a boil. After boiling for 10 minutes, drain the water. After these manipulations, you can follow the recommendations contained in the specific recipe.
- Another important point is the choice of operating mode of the multicooker for preparing pureed pea soup. Many units have a “Soup” program, but it is not the most suitable. The fact is that pureed pea soup has such a thick consistency that it is much better to cook it using the “Stew” program.
The technology for preparing soup often depends on the chosen recipe, so reading its composition is not enough. The instructions for preparing the dish must be given due attention.

Recipe for “Multi-cooker pea puree”:
First of all, let's deal with the onions, because while they are fried, we will have plenty of time for the peas. Let's clean a couple of onion heads. Rinse it for extra cleanliness))) Next, cut it into fairly large pieces.
Pour oil into a multicooker saucepan. Turn on the “Baking” mode. You can immediately set it for 30-40 minutes (the onion will release a lot of juice, which should “evaporate”). Let the malitsa warm up thoroughly.
Now add chopped onion to the heated oil. Fry the onion until golden brown (.). This is the main condition, because only golden onions are able to exude the aroma we need.
Now, while the onions are frying, you need to take care of the peas.
We measure out the required amount. Let's sort it out. Rinse under running water until clear water is obtained.
Once the peas are washed, fill them with water. While our juicy onions are fried, the peas will swell a little (and that’s all we need))).
Here you go. fried onion. Turn off the “Baking” mode. Transfer it from the multicooker saucepan. Let him now wait his turn))).
Now transfer the slightly swollen peas (along with water) into the slow cooker. Turn on the “Steam” mode. As soon as the peas boil, immediately change the mode to “Stew”. I set it to 1 hour. An hour later the peas are almost cooked. Pour it into a container convenient for whipping (I put it in an aluminum saucepan). Beat with a blender to the desired consistency, and again pour the homogeneous peas into the multicooker, add the fried onions and salt. Again “quenching” for 30-40 minutes.
