Pork with vegetables in teriyaki sauce recipe step by step with photos
Prepare the ingredients.
Cut the pork into strips. Pour in soy sauce and let soak while preparing the remaining ingredients.
It is better to pre-marinate the pork for 30 minutes in soy sauce, so it will be better soaked and juicier.
Chop the onion and bell pepper. Pour boiling water over frozen green beans.
Dredge pork in flour. Divide the meat into three parts and fry each of them separately in a hot frying pan for 2 minutes on each side.
It is better to place the finished pork in a colander or place it on paper, so excess fat will drain from it.
Fry the onion until golden brown for 2 minutes, then add the bell pepper and green beans and fry for another 2 minutes.
Add meat to the fried vegetables and set aside.
Prepare the sauce. Grate ginger and garlic into a saucepan on a fine grater, add starch and sugar. Then add water, soy sauce, honey. Mix thoroughly and place on low heat. As soon as it starts to boil, wait 10 seconds and remove from heat. We rub the resulting sauce through a sieve.
Pour the prepared sauce over the meat and vegetables and mix thoroughly. Add corn. Cover with a lid and let steep for 5 minutes. We serve the finished dish in portions and invite everyone to the table!

Step-by-step recipe with photos and videos
Pork Donburi is an easy to prepare, filling and delicious everyday Japanese dish. The traditional composition of the dish includes 3 key components: boiled rice, fresh herbs and pieces of pork, quickly fried and then stewed in a spicy sauce. All components of the dish are laid out in layers and served in a small bowl or bowl called “donburi”. Hence the name of the dish.
During cooking over high heat, the sauce boils down, noticeably thickens and turns into a thick, salty-sweet, aromatic glaze that envelops the pieces of meat - it sets the tone for the dish. Rice and greens serve as side dishes that are neutral in taste; as a rule, they are not seasoned or supplemented with anything. The composition of the sauce can be varied and changed to suit your taste. Today I propose to complement the pieces of pork with aromatic teriyaki sauce. Shall we begin?!
To prepare pork donburi in teriyaki sauce, you will need the following ingredients.
Boil the rice. Rinse short grain Japanese rice in cold water 3-4 times until the water runs clear. Then, if time allows, cover the rice with a fresh portion of cold water and let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Strain the soaked rice thoroughly. If possible, it is advisable to place the rice in a sieve and leave for 10-15 minutes.
Place the prepared rice in a saucepan. Pour in 300 ml of cold water. Over medium heat, bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and, covering the pan with a lid, cook the rice for 12-13 minutes until the water is completely absorbed. Turn off the heat, let the rice sit, covered, for another 10 minutes, and fluff with a fork before serving.
If the “traditionality” of a dish is not of fundamental importance, you can use any rice to serve the dish and cook it in the most convenient and familiar way.
Combine sauce ingredients: 3 tbsp. soy sauce, 2 tbsp. rice vinegar, 3 tbsp. white wine (or 2 tbsp sake), 2.5-3 centimeters of grated ginger root, 0.5 tsp. sesame or other vegetable oil and 3 tbsp. sugar (if using sake, then 2 tbsp sugar). Mix everything thoroughly until the sugar dissolves.
Instead of wine or sake, you can use water in a pinch.
Beat portioned pieces of pork on both sides until soft and evenly thick. Lightly salt and pepper.
Rub the meat on both sides with starch so that the starch covers it with a thin layer. Shake off excess starch.
Pour vegetable oil into a cold, dry frying pan and add the garlic cloves, cut into large slices. Garlic is necessary to flavor the oil. Once the pieces are browned and release their flavor into the oil, they can be removed from the pan.
Place the frying pan over medium heat and heat the oil. Move aside the garlic pieces, place the prepared pork pieces in the pan and fry for about 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Pour in the prepared sauce, cover the pan with a lid and cook the meat over high heat for another 2.5-3 minutes.
Then turn the pieces over, cover the pan again with a lid and cook for another 2.5-4 minutes. During this time, the sauce flavors the meat, boils down and thickens. The main indicator of readiness is a lot of small bubbles on the surface of the boiling sauce.
Turn off the heat, scoop a little sauce with a spoon and pour over the pieces of meat. Add 2-3 pinches of finely chopped green onions to the pan and let the meat sit a little longer while you plate.
Place a portion of rice in a deep bowl. Add 1-3 lettuce leaves, cut into thin strips.
Cut each piece of meat into strips about 1 cm wide and place on top of the salad.
Pour the sauce over the meat, sprinkle with a pinch of green onions and/or toasted sesame seeds if desired, and serve. Donburi with pork in teriyaki sauce is ready.

Grilling
Pork in teriyaki sauce cooked over coals is a great picnic idea. If, before going out into the countryside, you put large pieces of meat in a bowl and coat them with sauce, then the time you spend on the road and making a fire will be enough for everything to be sufficiently soaked. All that remains is to fry the steaks on the grill. The remaining sauce can be distributed over the meat at the very end of cooking. An excellent addition to the delicacy would be baked potatoes, Korean spicy-sweet salads, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers.
Pork teriyaki
For the pork recipe you will need:
- teriyaki sauce - 4-5 tbsp;
- pork - 400g;
- vegetable oil (preferably sesame) - 2 tbsp;
For decoration:

Pork recipe:
Cut the pork into thin strips, place in a bowl and pour in 3-4 tbsp. teriyaki sauce. Stir and leave for an hour, stirring 1-2 times.
Heat the pan, add sesame oil, drain the marinade, reserving it, and place the meat in the pan. Cook, shaking the pan occasionally, for 2-3 minutes until browned.
Pour over the marinade (add another 1-2 tablespoons) and leave on the fire for another 3-5 minutes until most of the marinade has boiled away. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve with rice, green salad and fresh (or pickled) cucumber.

Juicy baked pork in teriyaki sauce
Ingredients
- onion - 100 gr;
- pork - 300 gr;
- teriyaki sauce - 2.5 tbsp;
- lemon juice - 2.5 tbsp;
- vegetable oil - 2.5 tbsp;
- garlic - 1 clove;
- salt - to taste.
Cooking method
1.
Let's prepare a marinade based on lemon juice, teriyaki sauce, vegetable oil and a set of spices (as you wish).
2.
Cut the meat into cubes. The size can be arbitrary. I made small ones so that the marinating process would go faster.
3.
Place the meat in the prepared marinade. There's also chopped onion. Marinate for 2 hours, but ideally overnight.
4.
After squeezing out the marinade, distribute the meat and onions into the pan. Pour the marinade over them so that it is just below the level of the meat. Place in an oven preheated to 190°C for 45 minutes.
The pork turns out extremely tasty, with a slight sourness from the lemon juice and a pleasant sweetness from the teriyaki sauce. Eat for your health!
