Preparation:

  1. Cut the washed and dried meat into small pieces. These can be cubes or strips.
  2. Chop the peeled sweet peppers and carrots into strips (small). You can use a special grater for this.
  3. Cut the hot pepper into thin rings. Be sure to choose seeds.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan with high sides. Fry the meat until the color changes. Add all prepared vegetables.
  5. Mix honey, lemon juice, soy and hot sauce. Pour the mixture into the meat and vegetables. Cook for a couple more minutes.
  6. Separately, dilute the starch in cold water. Pour the mixture into the frying pan with the other ingredients.
  7. Add sesame seeds. Cook the treat for another 6-7 minutes.

To prepare the sauce in your kitchen, you need to combine a variety of flavors in it. The sweet and sour sauce is a real gem and has something for everyone. To prepare it you need:

  • Tomato paste 120 ml.
  • Water 120 ml.
  • Soy seasoning 120 ml.
  • Garlic 30 gr.
  • Olive oil 70 ml.
  • Vinegar 30 ml.
  • Corn starch 15 gr.
  • Onion 150 gr.
  • Citrus juice 1 pc.

Step-by-step recipe for sweet and sour Chinese sauce for pork:

  • Finely chop the greens.
  • Grate half the fresh ginger.
  • Heat a little oil in a saucepan and start frying the onion. When all the pieces have acquired a golden crust, put them out. Do the same with garlic.
  • Throw the ginger, cut into strips, into hot oil. Throw some greens in there too.
  • Mix soy sauce with vinegar, squeeze in lemon juice, mix all this with tomato paste. It is necessary to obtain a uniform structure.
  • After adding a little sugar, pour the resulting mixture over the vegetables. You need to let everything simmer for 5 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • pork tenderloin – 400-450 g;
  • water – ½ cup;
  • garlic – 2-3 cloves;
  • onion - 1 head;
  • bell pepper – 2 pcs.;
  • carrots – 1 pc.;
  • sugar – 20-25 g;
  • apple cider vinegar (6%) and potato starch - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • fresh ginger root – 4 cm;

Preparation:

Chinese pork in sweet and sour sauce is prepared with the addition of various fruits. Most often, pineapple is chosen for this dish. It’s great if you can take fresh fruit, but canned fruit will do.

Ingredients:

  • pork tenderloin – 450-500 g;
  • carrots and sweet peppers – 1 pc.;
  • soy sauce (classic) – 80 ml;
  • pineapple pulp – 180-200 g;
  • starch (corn) -5-7 g;
  • tomato juice (thick) – 1 tbsp.;
  • wine vinegar - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • sugar – 1 pinch.

Preparation:

  1. Cut the prepared meat randomly. You can do this in cubes, strips or cubes. There is no need to beat it off first.
  2. Pour soy sauce into a separate bowl. Stir all the starch into it. There should be no lumps left in the liquid. Pour the resulting mixture over the meat. Mix everything thoroughly with your hands. Leave for 15-17 minutes.

  • Soy sauce – 50 ml.

How to cook pork in sweet and sour sauce in a slow cooker

You can also use a slow cooker to cook meat in Chinese style. No special modes are required for this. “Frying” or “roasting” the meat will suffice.

  • pork fillet – 200-250 g;
  • bell pepper, red onion, chili pepper - 1 pc.;
  • sweet and sour sauce – 80-100 ml;
  • garlic – 4-5 cloves;
  • canned sweet pineapple – 180-200 g;
  • starch (corn) – 8-10 g;
  • sesame seeds – 5-7 g;
  • soy sauce – 60 ml;
  • oil, salt.

Preparation:

  1. Cut the pepper and onion into half rings, and the pineapple into cubes. Chop the chili into slices and chop the garlic as finely as possible.
  2. Grind the meat into strips. The optimal width of each is 2 cm.
  3. Mix pork with starch.
  4. Pour any oil into the “kitchen helper” bowl. Add meat. Turn on frying mode for 17 minutes. Cook, stirring occasionally. It should change color and brown slightly.
  5. After 10 minutes, pour all the vegetables and fruits into the bowl. Stir and cook for another 3 minutes.
  6. Add all sauces. If necessary, you can add salt. But usually there is enough of it in soy sauce. Mix everything. Close the lid of the device and leave all the ingredients in it to cook until the end of the program.

Sprinkle the resulting treat with sesame seeds and mix again.

Pork in sweet and sour sauce with pineapples and bell peppers

The sauce for this recipe is special. Dry white wine is added to it.

Ingredients:

  • pork tenderloin – 400-450 g;
  • dry white wine – 80-100 ml;
  • canned pineapples and tomatoes in their own juice – 180-200 g;
  • chili, lemon and bell pepper - 1 pc.;
  • garlic – 3-4 cloves;
  • soy sauce - ¼ tbsp.

Preparation:

  1. Combine the juice from pineapples and tomatoes in a bowl. Squeeze lemon over them, carefully selecting the seeds. You can add any colored ground peppers to this mixture to taste.
  2. Sweet and hot peppers, as well as onions, cut into half rings. Crush the garlic. Chop tomatoes and pineapple into cubes.
  3. Grind the meat into strips. Thickness – 1.5-2 cm.
  4. Place a small amount of any fat into a deep frying pan. Heat it up and start frying all the ingredients one by one. Add garlic and chili first. The oil should absorb their pungency and aroma. Next, select the garlic and pepper with a slotted spoon.
  5. Add the pineapple to the remaining oil. The sugar from it will help the other ingredients caramelize slightly. Transfer the fried pineapple to a plate.
  6. In the remaining oil, brown the onion and bell pepper alternately.
  7. Lastly, fry the meat in a frying pan until crusty.
  8. Place all prepared ingredients into a clean frying pan without fat. Warm them up together.
  9. Pour in the wine and simmer until the alcohol has completely evaporated.
  10. Add soy sauce and wait for it to evaporate again. Add tomatoes. Leave the mixture to simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  11. Pour in the sauce from step one. Cook the dish over low heat for another 10-12 minutes.

The resulting treat can be served without a side dish. Just complement it with white croutons or soft wheat bread to soak up the aromatic sauce.

Recipe from Chef Lazerson

Chinese pork in sweet and sour sauce can be prepared according to the recipe of the world famous chef Lazerson. His variation of the dish has some interesting features. First of all, the marinade for meat is different. It contains honey and citrus juice.

Ingredients:

  • pork tenderloin – 380-400 g;
  • sweet pepper – 2 pcs. (different color);
  • sugar – 60-65 g;
  • white onion – 1 head;
  • fresh/canned pineapple – 180-200 g;
  • starch - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • water – 1 tbsp. l.;
  • olive oil – 1 tbsp. l. in batter + for frying;
  • honey – 8-10 g;
  • lemon – 1 pc.;
  • soy sauce – 180-200 ml;
  • flour – 1 tbsp.;
  • baking powder – 5 g.

Preparation:

  1. The meat tenderloin should be chopped into small pieces. Lazerson himself notes: the smaller the pieces of pork, the tastier the resulting treat will be.
  2. In a separate large bowl, combine soy sauce, liquid honey, and juice squeezed from lemon. Mix the ingredients well with a whisk. Place meat pieces in them. Rub the marinade directly into the latter with your hands. Place the food in a cool place for about an hour.
  3. Separately, finely chop the onion and bell pepper.
  4. To make the batter, combine flour, baking powder, oil, water and starch. All ingredients must be mixed very thoroughly so that there are no lumps left in the mass.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan. Place the meat pieces, previously coated with batter, into it. Fry them over high heat for 5 minutes on each side. Transfer cooked pork to paper towels to drain excess fat.
  6. Cook vegetables in remaining oil until soft. Return the pork and the remaining marinade to them. Cover the dish with a lid and simmer its contents for half an hour. At the very last moment, add the pineapple pieces.

The finished dish can be decorated with any herbs and cherry tomatoes.

Recipe with pineapples

To add even more confusion to a hot dish, use fruit. Cooking shopping list:

  • Tenderloin 0.8 kg.
  • Pineapple, canned 0.3 kg.
  • Onion 0.1 book.
  • Corn starch 30 gr.
  • Flour 30 gr.
  • Ketchup 70 ml.
  • Vinegar 20 ml.
  • Soy sauce 40 ml.
  • Water 50 ml.
  • Olive oil.

Step by step recipe:

  1. Finely chop the meat.
  2. Pour starch and flour onto a plate and roll the resulting pieces into them.
  3. Dilute soybean with water and season the meat with it. Place the refrigerator for an hour.
  4. Pineapples must be cut into small pieces.
  5. The onion also needs to be cut into small pieces.
  6. Make the dressing by mixing vinegar, pineapple syrup and tomato paste.
  7. The tenderloin must be fried in hot vegetable oil until golden brown.
  8. Then the pineapples are added, fried and everything is removed from the pan into a separate bowl.
  9. Do not wash the frying pan, pour oil into it and fry the onion.
  10. Add all the ingredients and pour in the sauce.
  11. Turn on low heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

This method can be used to cook not only pork; chicken and beef will go well together. You can make a spicier dressing for beef. In addition, you don’t have to add meat. Chinese sweet and sour sauce goes perfectly with vegetables.

Pork in teriyaki sauce

Chinese pork is always cooked in original sauce. The sweet and sour taste goes well with meat and vegetables. So, you can complement the dish with an unusual teriyaki sauce.

Ingredients:

  • pork tenderloin – 280-300 g;
  • onion – 1 head;
  • garlic – 3 cloves;
  • balsamic vinegar, dried vegetables and honey - 1 tbsp each. l.;
  • Teriyaki sauce – 3 tbsp. l.;
  • soy sauce – 2 tbsp. l.;
  • salt, ground paprika, sesame seeds, oil.

Preparation:

  1. Chop the prepared pork into cubes.
  2. Thinly slice the onion and add it to the meat along with dried vegetables, paprika, and salt.
  3. Mash the pieces with seasonings and onions. Then add vinegar, teriyaki sauce, a little oil, honey. Mix everything well, cover with film and refrigerate for 3-3.5 hours.
  4. Place the marinated foods in a frying pan with heated oil. Add soy sauce. Cook for 8-10 minutes on high heat, then another 6-7 minutes on medium.

Just before serving, sprinkle the dish with light sesame seeds.

Teriyaki sauce

You can either buy it in a store or prepare it yourself.

Ingredients:

  • soy sauce – 130-150 ml;
  • wine vinegar – 20-25 ml;
  • water – 80 ml;
  • starch, dried ginger and dried garlic, sesame, grows. oil – 1 tsp;
  • cane sugar – 3 tsp;
  • honey – 20-25 g.

Preparation:

  1. Brown the sesame seeds for 1 minute without oil, then fry them in oil for the same amount of time. Add sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger, vinegar. After boiling, cook the mixture for 1 minute.
  2. Separately, dilute starch in water. Pour into the frying pan. After boiling, cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add honey. Strain the sauce and cool it.

The resulting composition should be stored in a glass container in the cold for no longer than 6-7 days.

Pork with eggplant, Chinese style

Ingredients:

  • sweet peppers and eggs – 2 pcs.;
  • eggplants – 3 pcs.;
  • tomato paste – 20-25 g;
  • carrots – 280-300 g;
  • eggplants – 3 pcs.;
  • eggs – 2 pcs.;
  • soy sauce – 8 tbsp. l.;
  • pork tenderloin – 480-500 g;
  • starch - 3 tbsp. l.;
  • sugar and vinegar - 1 tbsp each. l.;

Preparation:

  1. Cut the meat into strips. Add raw egg whites and soy sauce (half) to it. Stir and leave for 17-20 minutes.
  2. Cut carrots and peeled eggplants into thick strips. Add some starch (1/2 tbsp) to them and mix.
  3. Peel the pepper from seeds and also chop into strips.
  4. Chop the garlic into cubes and fry in any fat for 40-45 seconds. Remove from pan. Sprinkle peppers and carrots onto garlic oil. Cook until soft. Transfer vegetables to a plate.
  5. Fry the meat in the remaining fat until golden brown, also first rolling it in starch (1/2 tbsp). Place the pork on a plate with the vegetables.
  6. Fry the eggplants in a frying pan until soft.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix the remaining starch, soy sauce, sugar, vinegar and tomato paste. Pour the sauce into a frying pan with a thick bottom and sides. Send vegetables and meat into it.
  8. Cook for a couple more minutes until the sauce thickens.

Serve the resulting treat with mashed potatoes or peas.

Homemade Chinese pork recipe with vegetables

This cooking method is more gentle on the Russian taste. We will cook the meat without sweet pineapples, but with vegetables and sauce. Vegetables with tomato paste give a rather sour gravy. Therefore, a spoonful of sugar is still present in the sauce.

It is advisable to use a WOK frying pan for this dish. If there is none, then an ordinary deep saucepan will do.

What we need:

  • 400 gr. fresh pork tenderloin
  • 1 onion
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 1 carrot
  • 4-5 cm ginger root
  • 0.5 cups of clean water
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 200 ml. vegetable oil
  • 4 tbsp. spoons of starch
  • 1 tbsp. spoon of balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tbsp. spoons of soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp. spoon of sugar
  • 0.5 tbsp. spoons of mustard

Cooking steps

1. Cooking begins with cutting the meat. It is best to cut the pork along the grain, into strips 2 cm wide. This is not a prerequisite, but is good for ease of preparation and subsequent serving.

2. Pour in half the soy sauce, also add vinegar and add 3 tablespoons of starch. Grind the garlic cloves with ginger and add to the bowl. Let marinate for 30 minutes.

There is no need to add salt, since soy sauce contains enough salt.

3. While the meat sticks are marinating, let’s start chopping the vegetables. We turn the carrots and peppers into thin strips, and cut the onion into half rings. Crumbled and placed each component in a separate container. In the meantime, heat the WOK frying pan and pour oil.

4. When the oil is hot enough, we begin to throw the pork into it. 7-10 pieces at a time. This photo shows that the meat should be just slightly browned.

Fry for no more than 3-4 minutes, otherwise it will dry out!

As soon as the first batch is ready, remove the roast with a slotted spoon or tongs and place it on a separate plate. The next portion is sent to the boiling oil. This is how we got the golden brown meat.

5. And all the chopped vegetables go into the frying pan. First, when the onion becomes transparent, add the carrots and pepper. As soon as the vegetables have softened, remove them with a slotted spoon into a separate bowl.

6. The oil must be drained and the pan put back on the fire. Now add sugar and half a glass of water. Immediately add tomato paste. Let the sauce simmer. Dilute one tablespoon of starch with cold water and pour into the sauce. Mustard is added last.

7. We put roast pork and vegetables into this boiling water. Simmer them in the sauce for no more than five minutes and remove from heat.

The classic side dish that comes here is rice or rice noodles. However, this dish is also good with our favorite mashed potatoes.

Recipe for pork in batter with sweet and sour sauce

An unusual sauce for this recipe is prepared with the addition of pineapple juice and ketchup. As a result, it also comes out with a sweet and sour taste.

Ingredients:

  • pork – 1 kg;
  • beer – 90-100 ml;
  • eggs – 1 pc.;
  • flour – 5 tbsp. l.;
  • sugar – 1.5 tbsp;
  • water – 1.5 tbsp.;
  • salt and pepper - a pinch;
  • ketchup – 130-150 g;
  • wine vinegar and corn starch - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • vegetable oil and pineapple juice - 100 ml each.

Preparation:

  1. Cut the pork into cubes.
  2. For the batter, mix an egg beaten with salt and pepper, as well as beer and flour. There should be no lumps in the mass.
  3. Dip the meat into the batter and fry it until golden brown in hot oil.
  4. Mix sugar with water and heat until completely dissolved. Then add ketchup.
  5. Pour in pineapple juice and boil the mixture. Separately, dissolve starch in water. Add to sauce along with vinegar.
  6. Place the fried meat in batter into a large frying pan. Pour the sauce over it and simmer over low heat for a couple of minutes.

Serve the treat with boiled rice. Any version of Chinese pork is prepared quickly and easily. In a sweet and sour sauce it turns out soft and with a bright, interesting taste. It is always better to use a wok for frying and simmering foods.

Cooking in the oven

Usually meat in sweet and sour sauce is cooked in a frying pan, but you can also cook it in the oven.

  • 1.5 kg pork tenderloin;
  • 1 glass of orange juice (preferably freshly squeezed; store-bought juice makes the dish less tasty);
  • 90 gr. tomato paste;
  • 60 ml apple cider vinegar;
  • 60 gr. Sahara;
  • 130 ml soy sauce;
  • 160 ml water;
  • frying oil;
  • starch for breading;
  • salt, dry garlic, hot ground pepper - to taste.

Pour orange juice, apple cider vinegar, and soy sauce into the water. Add sugar to the sauce and salt to taste. Stir tomato paste into the sauce and add spices.

Cut the meat into small elongated pieces. Dry them well. Sprinkle the meat with dry garlic and salt and mix well, rubbing the spices into the meat. Leave the meat for a quarter of an hour.

Place the frying pan on the fire, pour in the oil so that the pieces practically float in it. Dredge the pork well in starch and fry in oil in batches. We lay out the pieces so that they do not touch each other. Fry over high heat on both sides. Place the finished pieces in a mold that can be placed in the oven.

When all the meat is fried, pour the prepared sauce over it and cover the dish with foil. Cook in the oven at 190 degrees for about one hour; 15 minutes before the end of baking, the foil can be removed.
