Turkey is a very tasty bird. Even the drumsticks taste good, despite the tough tendons. It’s quite easy and quick to cook turkey drumsticks in a frying pan.

How to deliciously cook a turkey drumstick in a frying pan so that it is soft and juicy?

Hello, dear friends!
Once upon a time, the main meat dish on our family table was chicken, but recently my husband and I have fallen in love with turkey. It fully meets the requirements of proper nutrition, contains a minimum of fat, and the dishes are original and varied. We especially loved the turkey drumstick in a frying pan - it’s easy to prepare, it turns out delicious, and the result never disappoints. Previously, I bought poultry meat with bones, but now I prefer boneless fillets - you need to fuss with it less, and there is much more meat. The taste reminds me of pork. To make the product tender and juicy, you need to know a few nuances - how to cook and how long to fry.

For softness, it is better to stew the meat in sour cream or tomato paste, and pre-marinate the steaks on the bone.

The simplest marinades are lemon juice or a mixture of olive oil and wine vinegar plus spices. The proportions are as follows: 40 g lemon juice and 80 ml olive oil, the second option is to use wine vinegar instead of juice. The remaining proportions remain the same. You can use any spices to suit your taste, but my favorites are herbes de Provence, ginger and garlic.

The calorie content of skinless meat is 144 kcal, BJU - 19.5 g of proteins, 6.7 g of fat, no carbohydrates. In addition, it contains microelements and vitamins necessary for health, mainly group B. Poultry meat is an excellent product for dietary and baby food. It is not only healthy, but also does not cause allergies, and to reduce the amount of fat, it is better not to fry the product, but to stew it.

Recipe for cooking turkey drumstick fillet in a frying pan

For many of us, goulash is associated with the school cafeteria and is considered a boring dish, but in reality it is not. Meat stewed in tomato sauce is a simple but very tasty recipe. It turns out tender, juicy and satisfying, suitable for any side dish and absolutely everyone likes it.

What you will need:

  • 400-450 g turkey drumstick fillet;
  • 2 onions;
  • 1 tbsp. flour;
  • 2 glasses of water;
  • salt, pepper, seasonings;
  • vegetable oil for frying.

How to cook:

1. Rinse the meat and dry with a paper towel. Cut into small cubes and place in a dry, well-heated frying pan.

Our task at this stage is to evaporate the liquid from it so that it turns out fried and not stewed.

2. Fry until the pieces turn white on both sides, stirring constantly.

3. As soon as the water has evaporated, add a little sunflower oil to the pan, fry until golden brown and remove from the pan.

4. Cut the onion into small cubes and fry in the pan where the meat was cooked until transparent.

ARTICLES ON THE TOPIC:

5. Add flour, stir and cook for about 30 seconds.

6. Reduce heat to medium, add meat to onion, salt, pepper and season. Mix well.

7. Pour in two glasses of water and mix thoroughly. Wait until the water boils, cover with a lid and simmer over low heat.

How long to simmer usually depends on the thickness of the pieces, but from experience I can say that 30-40 minutes will be enough.

The goulash needs to be stirred regularly to prevent it from burning, and add water if necessary. Serve the finished dish with pasta, potatoes or rice.

Recipe ingredients:

  • 2 bottles (350 ml) Guinness beer
  • 1.5 tbsp. veal broth or canned beef broth
  • 2 tbsp. l. tomato paste
  • 1/4 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp. onion chopped into small cubes
  • 1/2 tbsp. carrots cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 tbsp. celery, chopped into small cubes
  • 1/4 tbsp. leeks, chopped into small cubes
  • 1 tbsp. l. chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp. l. chopped green onions (white parts only)
  • 2 tsp. chopped ginger
  • 900 gr. (about 4-6) turkey drumsticks, cut crosswise osso buco style
  • 2.5 tbsp. l. wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1 tbsp. l. chopped fresh parsley leaves

Turkey drumsticks stewed in sauce

I found a recipe for turkey drumsticks in a magazine and decided to make it. The meat was soft and juicy with a pleasant garlic aroma.

Ingredients: 1.2 kg turkey drumstick (I had 2 pieces) salt, pepper 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 onion 2 cloves garlic 2 tbsp. mustard 100 gr. olives (I used green olives) 1 sprig of thyme (I used dry) 500 ml chicken broth 200 ml cream

Preparation: Wash the meat, dry it, salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the meat until golden brown. Cut the onion and garlic into cubes, add to the meat and fry a little. Chop the olives and add thyme to the meat. Pour in the broth and cream, add mustard. Mix everything and place the roasting pan in an oven preheated to 200 C. Simmer the meat for about 1 hour. I serve rice as a side dish; potatoes or pasta are also suitable. Bon appetit!

Turkey drumstick stewed in a frying pan with potatoes

Another recipe that never lets me down and the whole family really likes it is poultry in sour cream and garlic sauce with vegetables. The dish is very aromatic and juicy, and you can adjust the amount of seasoning to taste. I really love onions and garlic, but you can use less and add any spices and herbs.

Required ingredients:

  • 800 g meat (turkey thigh fillet);
  • 1 kg of potatoes;
  • 1 onion;
  • 2 carrots;
  • 1 clove of garlic;
  • 200 g sour cream (15%);
  • 250 ml boiling water;
  • 1 bunch of dill;
  • vegetable oil;
  • salt, pepper, spices.

Cooking method:

1. Wash the meat and pat dry with paper towels. Cut into medium pieces.

2. Peel the potatoes and cover with cold water to prevent them from darkening.

3. Peel the onions and carrots and cut into cubes. Chop or crush the garlic, finely chop the greens.

4. Mix sour cream, garlic and herbs, leaving a little for decoration. Add a little salt - this will be the sauce in which we will stew the meat.

5. Heat a frying pan, pour in oil, fry the meat over high heat for 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium, add onion and carrots, cook for another 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Salt, pepper and season the food.

6. Place the potatoes in the pan, pour sour cream sauce over everything and add a glass of boiling water. Reduce heat to medium, cover with a lid and simmer until the potatoes are tender, about 20-25 minutes.

Before serving, sprinkle with herbs and invite everyone to the table to taste
