Let's start preparing the salad:

We prepare the products. Wash the greens and leave them to dry. Drain the liquid from the canned food and mash the fish and chop the onion. Peel the eggs and separate the yolks. Let's start cooking:

Drain the liquid from the canned food and mash the fish. Boil the eggs, grate the whites and yolks separately. Three cheeses on a coarse grater.

The salad will be layered, repeating each layer. Therefore, take half of the prepared ingredient on each layer and lay it out like this:

  • on the bottom – crushed saury,
  • next – grated whites,
  • third layer - yolks,
  • Next comes a layer of cheese, which needs to be greased with mayonnaise,
  • then again repeat the layer of the remaining white, and then the yolk,
  • put cheese on top,
  • We finish the salad with a layer of saury coated with mayonnaise.

You can spread mayonnaise on each layer, but make sure that the salad does not become too greasy.

How to choose the right one

Some manufacturers often deceive their consumers by releasing less valuable fish under the guise of real saury. And although it may not pose a direct threat to the life and health of the eater, it will be a shame to overpay for a cheaper analogue, and unsweetened baked goods will not be as flavorful.

To avoid the risk of running into a fake or completely low-quality product, it is important to adhere to just a few simple points of instructions:

  • carefully check the condition of the can, leaving aside any swollen or damaged containers;
  • study the date of manufacture, postponing the option with a “just about” suitable expiration date;
  • read the numbers on the tin lid.

But if people usually do not lose their vigilance with the first two points, then problems often arise with the last one. Even long-time fans of this canned food do not always know what the stamped numbers on the top of the package indicate.

There are two main markings that require mention:

  • 186 – oil-based blanching;
  • 308 is a natural product.

If the consumer trusted the designation on the can, but upon opening it turned out that the installed code did not correspond to the contents, then this indicates a fake. Moreover, today craftsmen have become adept at counterfeiting even the products of well-known brands, producing counterfeit goods under a world-famous label.

After the jar is opened, you should visually assess its level of fullness. If there are golden light pieces neatly placed inside that have not fallen apart or peeled off, then this is a good sign. Usually, honest manufacturers do not skimp on providing at least 70% capacity.

If there was an incomprehensible mess inside, more like minced fish for cutlets, then this indicates either a fake or that the product has already deteriorated.

Austrian salad with avocado and saury

  • 3 pcs. boiled potatoes;
  • 2 cans of saury (without adding oil);
  • 1 onion;
  • 1 PC. avocado;
  • juice from half a lemon;
  • 7 pcs. boiled eggs;

  • 10 tbsp. l. soft cream cheese;
  • 150 g mayonnaise;
  • Parmesan cheese and mustard seed for garnish.

Cooking process

Peel the potatoes and eggs, grate them, separating the yolks from the whites. Three hard cheese. Drain the liquid from the canned food and chop. Finely chop the onion. Peel the avocado, grate it and sprinkle with lemon juice.

Place the salad on a plate in layers:

  1. on the bottom - potatoes,
  2. spread soft cheese on top (6 spoons),
  3. next comes the onion,
  4. and then a layer of fish,
  5. Place the egg whites on the fish and brush with mayonnaise.
  6. Now it's the turn of the avocado, which we cover with a layer of soft cheese.
  7. Sprinkle with grated hard cheese. And the last layer is the yolks.

Cover the salad with mayonnaise. Garnish with grated Parmesan and sprinkle with mustard seeds. The salad needs to sit for about half an hour; to do this, place it in the refrigerator.

Baked with sour cream (fresh frozen)

Composition of ingredients

For the dish you need to take:

  • fresh frozen saury (whole carcasses) – 2 pcs.;
  • sour cream – 1/3 cup;
  • classic soy sauce - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • oil.

Salt is added to such a dish to taste; usually there is enough of it in soy sauce.

Step-by-step cooking process

The cooking process includes several stages:

  1. The first step is to defrost the saury. There is no need to gut it. The carcasses will be baked along with the entrails. The latter are easily removed from finished fish.
  2. For the sauce you need to mix sour cream and classic soy sauce. The ingredients should be very carefully combined until smooth, and then distributed over the surface of the fish carcasses.
  3. The prepared saury must be wrapped in cling film and left for 15-17 minutes.
  4. While the fish is marinating, you need to cover a baking sheet with foil (shiny side up) and coat it with any vegetable oil. Then place the prepared saury on the covering.
  5. The treat will be baked in the oven, preheated to 170-180°.

It will take approximately 15-17 minutes to prepare saury. When the fish turns brown, it is ready and you can take a sample.

How to serve a dish

Baked fish carcasses should be served whole, having first removed the entrails from their belly. You can decorate saury with fresh vegetables, green onions, and your favorite sauce.

Saury salad with rice

Products that we will need to prepare this salad:

  • One glass of rice, which should be boiled;
  • 300 grams of saury;
  • One bell pepper;
  • One onion head;
  • One tomato;
  • Half a lemon;

Let's start preparing the salad:

Boil the rice and close the bottom of the mold, place tomato slices on top of the rice.

We will need the following products:

  • one can of saury;
  • 4 chicken eggs, which should be boiled;
  • one onion;
  • 4 medium potatoes;

Let's start preparing the salad

We will assemble the salad in layers, and be sure to coat each layer with mayonnaise.

  1. Mash the fish with a fork and place it on the bottom of the salad bowl.

  • 2 potatoes;
  • 2 medium carrots;
  • canned saury, approximately 250 g;
  • 4 chicken eggs;
  • half an onion;
  • salt and ground pepper to taste;
  • mayonnaise.

Let's start preparing the salad:

Vegetables and eggs should be boiled and peeled. We separate boiled chicken eggs into whites and yolks. Finely chop the onion and pour boiling water over it, this is done in order to remove the bitter aftertaste.

Mash the fish with a fork until the mass becomes homogeneous. Place the fish on the bottom of the dish and grease it with mayonnaise. Place the onion on top of the fish. Then finely grate the protein, you can directly add it to the salad bowl - then the salad will be tender and airy. Lubricate with mayonnaise, trying not to crush the whites too much.

Place the next layer of finely grated carrots, lightly brushing with mayonnaise. We cover the salad with grated potatoes on a coarse grater, so it will lay down more evenly. And again we coat. The final layer is the yolks.

Fresh frozen in a frying pan

For those who love the delicate texture of fish, you can choose recipes for cooking saury in a frying pan with vegetables.

We will need:

  • onions – 2 heads;
  • carrots – 1 pc.;
  • saury fillet – 500 grams;
  • tomatoes - 3-4 fresh or half a can (200 ml) canned in their own juice;
  • garlic – 1 clove;
  • salt, pepper to taste;
  • oil – 2-3 tablespoons,
  • any greens - 3-4 sprigs.

Preparation time: 15-20 minutes.

Cooking time – 15-20 minutes.

Since it is almost impossible to find ready-made saury fillets in the store, you will have to cut it yourself. You can stew it in pieces, but then you will have to tinker with the bones while eating.

Cut the onion into cubes and place in a frying pan with heated oil. Grate the carrots and add to the onion. Leave to sauté, and in the meantime prepare the fish - clean and cut the fillets into small pieces.

When the vegetables acquire a golden color, add the fish to them and fry for a couple of minutes. Then add salt, add the chopped tomatoes and garlic, put through a press, reduce the heat and simmer under the lid for about 10 minutes. After that, add the chopped herbs, mix everything and remove from the heat. A tasty, aromatic and beautiful dish is ready. Advice - before cooking any frozen fish, including saury, defrost it properly. Just transfer it from the freezer to the refrigerator overnight. This way it will thaw gradually and will not spread when frying.

  • steamed prunes;

Cooking tips

So, how to cook pasta without sticking? Firstly, it is better to choose products made from durum wheat. They are not only healthier, but also practically do not stick together (of course, when prepared correctly).

Secondly, there must be a proper ratio of water, salt and products. For 1 liter of water you need 100 grams of pasta. And there should be about 10 grams of salt for this amount (+- 5 grams).

Third rule: you will need a large saucepan. That is, if you plan to cook about 500 grams of pasta, then the pan should be at least four liters, or better yet five. The more space there is for the pasta, the less likely it is that they will stick together.

If you cook spaghetti, before throwing it into the water, do not break the product, throw it whole. Otherwise, there is a risk of them sticking together. Whole spaghetti will still submerge in about thirty to forty seconds.

Do not cook products longer than indicated on the package. If the instructions say that you need to cook for about three minutes, then do so. Otherwise, you will simply overcook them and they will stick together.

After the products are cooked, do not rinse them with cold water. It’s better to just transfer it to a colander and let the liquid drain. Then return the pasta to the pan and add a few tablespoons of sunflower or olive oil.

Beautiful rice salad with saury

A simple salad, easy to prepare.

Required Products:

  • 250 g rice;
  • 160 g canned saury;
  • half an onion;
  • 2 boiled eggs;
  • salt pepper;
  • mayonnaise.

Cooking method:

Boil rice, cool. Finely chop the onion. Drain the oil from the fish and set it aside. Grate one egg, and grate only the white from the 2nd egg. Season the salad with mayonnaise, salt and pepper to taste. Stir and place nicely on a plate. Decorate with grated yolk. Our salad is ready to serve!

If you can’t find fresh fish, you can use frozen fish. But first you need to defrost it first in the refrigerator, and then at room temperature.

Step-by-step cooking process

The cooking process includes several stages:

  1. First of all, the site needs to be thoroughly cleaned. Only fillets will be stewed in a slow cooker. This fish has practically no scales. It is necessary to open its abdomen, remove all the insides, being careful not to touch or crush the gallbladder. Otherwise, the fish may end up with an unpleasant aftertaste.

  2. Next, the tail and head should be cut off from the carcasses. All that remains is to thoroughly rinse them outside and inside, and cut them into small pieces.
  3. In a separate bowl, you need to prepare a mixture of spices for the fish. You need to add peppercorns, bay leaves, and salt to it. Then, blend the ingredients with a blender or simply grind with a mortar.
  4. The resulting aromatic mass with bay leaves should be applied to pieces of saury, rubbed inside and out, and leave the fish for 10-12 minutes.
  5. Next, you need to transfer the saury into a multicooker bowl, pour olive oil on it and leave to cook in the stew mode for 20-25 minutes.

When the fish is completely ready, you can also let it sit for 10 minutes in a closed device.

How to serve a dish

It is delicious to serve the stewed fish with fresh sweet white onions, cut into rings, and boiled new potatoes. Various sauces based on mustard, mayonnaise, and sour cream go well with saury prepared according to this recipe.

Salad “Simple”

An original layered salad, but easy to prepare.

You can use any fish you like. But saury is best suited. You can add greenery between layers.

Products needed to prepare this wonderful salad:

  • 1) Three chicken eggs;
  • 2) Sausage cheese, approximately 150 grams;
  • 3) One jar of saury in oil;
  • 4) One onion;
  • Light mayonnaise for dressing;
  • Tomato and cucumber for decoration.

Let’s start preparing the “Simple” salad:

Boil the eggs. Finely chop the onion and lightly sprinkle with lemon juice. Three sausage cheese on a coarse grater. Mash the fish with a fork until the mass becomes homogeneous, divide into two portions.

Lay out the salad in layers, cover each layer with mayonnaise:

  1. layer consists of proteins,
  2. smoked cheese,
  3. first portion of fish
  4. half a portion of onion,
  5. the remaining fish
  6. consists of yolks
  7. remaining onion
  8. chopped parsley.

Saira contains a lot of useful substances in its composition. Some of the most famous are unsaturated fatty acids Omega-3 and Omega-6, natural antioxidants.   • Two cloves of garlic;
  • One teaspoon of lemon juice.

Saury lives in the Pacific Ocean and the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. To spawn in the warm season, it swims to the shores of Japan and Sakhalin, and returns to warm waters with cold weather. Adults grow up to 40 centimeters in length. The fish is covered with small, silvery scales, has an elongated body with a dark greenish back.
