Today I want to share delicious Easter cake recipes. We all want new, tasty, and unusual Easter recipes. I have prepared for you, and for myself, a selection of recipes, I wanted to collect all the goodies in one place.
After all, Easter cake, the main bread on everyone’s table, is on a holy day. Let's figure out what this “miracle” is!
Panettone (Italian panettone, Milanese panetùn) is a traditional Milanese Christmas cake. In Italy, they bake not only for Easter, but also for Christmas.
There are several versions of the origin of the name of the pie. The romantic version, for example, says that panettone (pan di Antonio) was invented for his beloved by a Milanese apprentice baker named Antonio. According to another version, “panettone” comes from the Milanese dialect - pan del ton, which translates as “bread of luxury”.
You can decorate it traditionally, like our Easter cake, grease it with glaze and sprinkle it with sprinkles, or decorate it with candied fruits and dried fruits. On the blog, I have already shared recipes for the most delicious Easter cake, I tried all the recipes myself.
From rather rare ingredients, candied citrus fruits are added to these baked goods. These are candied skins of lemon, tangerine, and orange. Such goodness can be found at sellers of spices, nuts and oriental sweets.
You need to bake the panettone for about an hour, and no matter what it burns, you need to put a small container with water in the oven. It should be heated to 220*, and the water in the container should boil.
You can make any glaze; I prefer to make it from powdered sugar and lemon (or orange) juice. So, there are many recipes, but they are all of varying complexity.
On average, baked goods take about 9 hours to prepare. But in different recipes it is different, using fresh or dry yeast.
