Step-by-step recipe with photos and videos
This is one of my favorite dishes, there is nothing complicated in preparation, and the taste is amazing.
Of course, you can cook it in a common latke, but serving it in pots always looks more appetizing, in my opinion. In this recipe I use minced chicken, I just like it better, and you can use any to your taste. For this dish, it would be appropriate to use spices for meat; I rarely put them in, because my husband doesn’t like anything except black pepper and garlic; to my regret, I have to season the ready-made dish in a plate.
So, let’s prepare all the necessary ingredients for cooking potatoes with minced meat in the oven.
First, peel the onions, finely chop them and fry in a frying pan with vegetable oil until golden brown.
Place the minced meat and fry until half cooked, add salt and pepper.
Wash the potatoes, peel them and cut them into large pieces.
Place the minced meat in the potatoes, add mayonnaise or sour cream, add salt, pepper and mix.
Let's put it in pots and pour in literally 50 grams of water.
Close the lids and put the potatoes with minced meat in pots in the oven, preheated to 180-190 degrees, for 40-50 minutes.
Fragrant, appetizing potatoes with minced meat are ready.

Potatoes with meat, with sour cream in pots in the oven
Many recipes on the Internet say that the ingredients are fried or boiled before putting them in pots. I don’t favor this method of cooking because if I start frying food, I’ll finish cooking the dish on the stove. Therefore, to be on the safe side, I suggest pre-marinating the meat for half an hour. Then it will definitely be soft and juicy at the end of the cooking process. In the old days, when cooking in the oven, raw food was placed in pots. So, I offer you my recipe for potatoes with meat in a pot. Choose the meat ingredient yourself, cook with pork, beef or lamb as you like.
Compound:
- Meat - half a kilo.
- Onion - 2 pcs.
- Carrots - 2 pcs.
- Potatoes - 6 pcs.
- Bell pepper - 2 pcs.
- Tomatoes - 3 pcs.
- Garlic - 3 cloves.
- Sour cream - 100 gr.
- Salt, spices - to taste.
- Mayonnaise (for marinade) - 1-2 table. spoons.
- Vegetable oil - a tablespoon per pot.
Cut the meat into small cubes, sprinkle with spices, add a little vinegar and add mayonnaise. Mix well and leave to marinate for 20-30 minutes.
Cut the onion into thin half rings, grate the carrots on a coarse grater, the bell pepper into cubes, and the tomatoes into slices. Chop the garlic.
But cut the potatoes as you like. In smaller or larger cubes, in slices, like tomatoes. The size is not important because the potatoes will be cooked exactly during the cooking process.
Turn on the oven, setting the temperature to 180 degrees. Fill the pots. Pour a tablespoon of vegetable oil into the bottom of each pot. Next, add a layer of potatoes, followed by carrots, bell peppers, onions, garlic and tomatoes.
Place the meat on the vegetables, add salt, add some spices and add a tablespoon of sour cream.
Do not fill the pots to the brim, leave at least 1 cm. Pour some hot water into the pots. The amount of water will directly depend on the size of your pots. If you want to get dry potatoes, without broth, then add 2-3 tablespoons of water. And, if with broth, then pour until the meat layer is reached.
It is better to cover the tray under the pots with foil, otherwise the leaking broth will be difficult to wash off. Cook for 50 - 60 minutes at 180 degrees. After the specified time, your pork in pots or beef and potatoes in a pot will be ready.
Leave the finished dish in the cooling oven for a while. Before serving, garnish with herbs. Serve in pots.
