You can bake the whole chicken in the oven. This version of the dish looks especially elegant and festive. But you can also use individual parts - wings, thighs, drumsticks. Less commonly, fillets are baked in a honey-mustard marinade.
To prepare honey mustard sauce for chicken, you can use any natural honey. If it has thickened too much, you need to warm it up a little in a water bath or in the microwave. You can buy ready-made mustard for the sauce or make it yourself at home using mustard powder. You can also use grain mustard - it's a matter of taste.
To complement the sauce, various spices, soy sauce or adjika, and garlic are used. The chicken should be evenly coated with the marinade and left for a while so that the meat is soaked and acquires the taste and aroma of spices.
The chicken is baked either simply in the pan or wrapped in foil. You can also use a roasting bag. Along with the chicken, you can also prepare a side dish, it can be potatoes or vegetables.

Chicken pieces in honey mustard sauce, baked in the oven
Let's start with a simple recipe, chicken pieces are baked in a simple honey mustard sauce.
- 6 chicken thighs (you can take other parts - wings, drumsticks);
- 0.25 cups of honey;
- 2 tablespoons mustard;
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil;
- 3-4 cloves of garlic;
- salt, ground black pepper;
- a little lemon juice.
We peel the garlic and pass it through a press. Grind the garlic with the addition of black pepper. Rub the chicken with this mixture, put it in a container and leave for at least two hours.
Prepare the marinade by mixing honey with mustard and a small amount of lemon juice. Add vegetable oil and salt to taste to the marinade. Coat the chicken pieces with the prepared sauce. Place them in a baking dish that has been previously lined with foil. Bake in the oven for about half an hour at 180 degrees. - Chicken thighs – 1 kg;
- Honey - 3 tbsp. l.;
- Dijon mustard – 1 tsp;
- Mustard beans – 1 tbsp. l.;
- Soy sauce – 2 tbsp. l.;
- Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp. l.;
- Garlic – 3 cloves;
- Curry seasoning, pepper and salt - to taste.
Preparing the marinade is the first thing we should do.
And for this we mix chopped garlic, vegetable oil, curry seasoning, pepper, salt, mustard and honey with soy sauce. We wash and dry the chicken thighs from moisture, then put them in a large container and fill them with the prepared mustard sauce. You need to give the meat about 2 hours to marinate well. Better yet, prepare everything the night before and put it in the refrigerator until the morning.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the chicken for 1 hour.

You can cook chicken with potatoes, that is, make both the main dish and a side dish at once.
- 1 chicken weighing about 1.5 kg;
- 8 potatoes;
- 1 tomato;
- 2 tablespoons mustard;
- 2 tablespoons honey;
- 2 cloves of garlic;
- 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil;

Chicken baked in a sleeve turns out very juicy.
- 1 chicken;
- 3 tablespoons honey;

- Natural yoghurt – 150 ml;
- Curry seasoning – 1 tbsp. l.;
- Mustard – 1 tsp;
- Honey – 1 tbsp. l.;
- Garlic – 4 cloves;
- Chili pepper - to taste;
- Ground pepper and salt - to taste;
- Cilantro - to taste.
Mix thoroughly yogurt, oil, seasoning, mustard, honey, chili, garlic, cilantro, then salt and pepper. Take the whole chicken

- 1 kg chicken drumsticks;
- 2.5 tablespoons mustard;
- 100 ml soy sauce;
- 1 teaspoon curry seasoning;
- 3 tablespoons honey;
- 1 cup rice;
- 50 gr. butter + a little oil for the pan.
Wash the drumsticks and dry them. Prepare the marinade. To do this, mix honey and mustard, add curry. You can use regular or Dijon mustard. To prepare the dish, you can use both store-bought and poultry.
When choosing a carcass, you need to take into account its age. It is better to buy a young bird. The old one is used only for cold dishes and broths. To prepare you will need:
- chicken weighing 1-1.5 kilograms;
- honey - 4 teaspoons (heaped);
- classic mustard - 2 teaspoons;
- salt, spices.

The first thing to do is wash the meat under running water and dry it. Then salt thoroughly. This must be done both inside and outside the carcass.

A carcass cooked in honey and soy sauce not only tastes unusual, but is also very beautiful. The brilliantly golden brown crust will not leave anyone indifferent. To prepare this culinary art, you only need a few ingredients.
Required Products:
- chicken carcass – 1 kg;
- soy sauce - half a glass;
- liquid, flower honey – 4 tsp;
- refined sunflower oil – 1 tbsp. l;
- garlic – 3-4 pieces;
- sea salt (crushed);
- dry herbs.
Wash the carcass well and let dry.
Rub the meat with spices. Provencal herbs or suneli hops are best suited to this dish. It can also be ground pepper, ginger or curry.

- All spices are added to taste. For one medium-sized chicken, I add a tablespoon of salt, two tablespoons of mustard and a teaspoon of pepper.

- Place in an oven preheated to two hundred degrees.

- young broiler breast (400 grams);
- homemade sour cream (50 grams);
- liquid mustard (1 tablespoon);
- classic soy sauce (about 100 ml);
- salt and spices as desired (herbs de Provence, parsley).

- 600 gr. chicken breast fillet;
- salt, black pepper to taste;
- 150 gr. lettuce leaves;
- 100 gr. pineapples;
- 150 gr. oranges;
- 150 gr. strawberries;
- 100 gr. walnut kernels;
- 50 gr. blueberries or lingonberries.
Sauce:
- 150 ml orange juice;
- 40 ml lemon juice;
- 20 ml vegetable oil;
- 20 gr. honey;
- 20 gr. Dijon mustard;
- 20 ml soy sauce;
- 10 gr. ginger
First of all, let's make the sauce. It is convenient to use a blender for preparation. Pour orange and lemon juice into a bowl, add honey and vegetable oil. Season with soy sauce and Dijon mustard. Peel the ginger root and grate it on a fine grater. Add ginger to the blender bowl. Mix everything by turning on the device at minimum power. The sauce is ready.
Wash the chicken breasts with water and dry. Rub with salt and pepper. Lubricate both sides with dressing. Wrap in foil and bake in the oven for 40 minutes at 200 degrees.
Peel the oranges, separate them into slices, and cut each slice in half. We wash the strawberries, separate the stalks, cut the berries into thin slices. - After this time, mix the remaining ingredients for the sauce: mustard, honey, salt and lemon juice. Pour sauce over chicken meat. Carefully distribute the filling over the frying pan and the pulp. Add your favorite seasonings.
- Cover the dish with a lid. Reduce the heat to medium. Continue simmering the chicken for at least ten minutes. Periodically open the lid and stir the contents of the pan.
You can serve chicken in honey mustard sauce as a separate dish or with rice as a side dish.

Chicken and pineapples are a classic combination. Let's prepare a baked bird with this fruit.
- 1 chicken;
- 25 ml vegetable oil;
- 500 gr. carrots;
- 100 gr. seedless raisins;
- 200 gr. canned pineapples;
- 50 ml pineapple syrup from a jar;
- 200 ml water;
- 50 ml soy sauce;
- 100 gr. honey;
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard;
- 80 gr. ketchup;
- salt to taste.
We wash the chicken and cut it into portions (you can take drumsticks or other parts of the chicken). Salt and pepper the dressed bird. Grease the pan with oil and lay out the chicken pieces. In between the pieces of poultry, place pieces of carrots cut into slices, pre-soaked in warm water and dried raisins, as well as pieces of pineapple.
Delicious beer marinade for baking chicken legs in the oven
A friend of mine once said that there is no such thing as too much beer. He adds it to any marinades and baking sauces. At the same time, the aroma of fresh rye bread spreads through the kitchen while baking. Try it too, it’s incredibly delicious.
Ingredients:
- Fresh light beer – 1 glass.
- Liquid honey - 1 tbsp. l.
- Garlic clove – 3-4 pcs.
- Onion – 1 pc.
- Sunflower oil - 2 tbsp. l.
- Dijon mustard – 2 tbsp. l.
- Paprika, ground pepper, salt - 1 tsp each.
Preparation:
1. Chop a large onion and garlic into strips. We send them to a bowl for marinating and add honey, mustard, beer and sunflower oil.
2. Season this entire mixture with pepper, paprika and salt.
3. After thorough mixing, pour this mixture over the chicken and leave it to steep for about 5 hours, always in the refrigerator.
