In general, I rarely cook beef, but here I had to :) And so I had the idea to slightly spice up the recipe for ordinary beef stew. The recipe, of course, is not new and was not invented by me. And in general, in the world of cooking, as in fashion, everything new is long forgotten old. So, I noticed that “beyond the borders,” carrots in stews are increasingly chopped into specific pieces or whole miniature carrots are used, rather than grated on a fine grater, as we are all used to here. And I liked the way the dishes looked with large pieces of carrots. This is how the idea of ​​cooking beef stew with just such carrots came to life.

There is no hassle in preparing beef stew with carrots. Or rather, no more than with a regular stew recipe. The taste of the meat due to the gravy is amazing. I really liked the recipe both for its appearance and all its other qualities. Of course, you will have to be patient, because it takes time to get the most tender beef stew. But you don't need to stand over the frying pan. Everything is stewed safely without your close attention.

Beef stew is loved and prepared in many families. This is a simple and healthy dish that can be served to children, they especially love this meat with mashed potatoes. Be patient, the beef is tough and it takes a long time to simmer, but it's worth it. As a result, the meat will turn out very tender and soft, as they say in Odessa - you can eat it with your lips)))

Prepare ingredients for preparing beef stew with onions and carrots according to the list of ingredients. Peel and wash the onions, carrots and garlic. Also wash the meat under running water and pat dry with paper towels.

Cut the onion into half rings. Pour lean refined oil into the frying pan, add the onion, fry it until transparent.

Cut the carrots into large pieces, immediately add to the pan, hold it together with the onion for about a minute.

Cut the beef into strips, so it will cook a little faster. Place it in the pan with the vegetables.

Almost immediately the meat will release juice. Turn the heat to low, cover the pan and simmer the beef in its juices until it evaporates. On low heat it takes 10-15 minutes. Then add water or vegetable broth little by little and simmer the meat until soft. It took me another 40 minutes this time.

Now add salt and pepper to the sauce, add hot pepper, crushed garlic clove and bay leaf into the frying pan. Simmer for another 3-4 minutes.

Lastly, add the chopped dill and stir the stew. The gravy turns out to be quite liquid; if you want it a little thicker, add a little flour while cooking.

Before serving, you need to catch and discard the bay and garlic.

Serve the finished stewed beef with onions and carrots with your favorite side dish - whatever you like will do.

How to cook “Beef in a frying pan with carrots and onions”

Prepare all ingredients.

Cut the beef (flesh) into small pieces and place in a hot frying pan with vegetable oil. Add salt to taste, cover the pan with a lid and fry the meat over medium heat until golden brown.

Meanwhile, coarsely chop the carrots and onions. Chop the garlic into cubes using a knife.

As soon as the meat is browned, add onions and carrots to it. Stir and fry the beef with carrots and onions until the vegetables are soft.

Then add the garlic and fry the meat and vegetables for another couple of minutes.

Add flour, stir and pour in about a little less than a glass of boiling water. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer the meat over low heat for about 40 minutes or until the liquid has evaporated.

Then add sour cream, tomato paste, salt and spices. Stir and continue to simmer the beef for about 30 minutes. You can add a little more water if you prefer if you prefer the meat in the sauce.

Stewed beef in a slow cooker cooks quickly. This is a great option for busy people. The dish turns out light, satisfying, the meat is incredibly soft.

Required Products:

  • half a kilogram of beef;
  • 1 onion;

  • 2-3 tablespoons of sunflower oil.

  1. Cut carrots into cubes, onions into half rings.

Beef with potatoes is a dish familiar to many from childhood; it is often served in kindergartens. It's easy to prepare; there's no need for additional side dishes.

What you will need:

  • potatoes – 0.5 kg;
  • beef tenderloin – 500 g;
  • carrots, onions – 1 piece;
  • tomato – 1 piece;
  • flour – 1 tablespoon;
  • spices;
  • any vegetable oil for frying.

How to cook:

  1. Chop the onion in a convenient way and grate the carrots.
  2. Pour sunflower oil into a cauldron and fry the vegetables.
  3. Add the veal when the vegetables are almost done.
  4. After 10 minutes, add water, salt and simmer for 40 minutes.
