Chewing marmalade - 7 recipes for making at home

I have to admit, I have a big sweet tooth. One day, a neighbor told me the recipe for gummy bears that she makes for her children. This delicious and healthy treat is free of gluten and refined sugar. It is ideal for those who have dental problems. You only need 3 ingredients and less than 15 minutes to make these gummy bears.

You will definitely love them! They're easy to make, taste amazing, and are loaded with protein! Now these are my favorite candies (after chocolate, though). Besides being super delicious, they are also super cute! You can, of course, buy ready-made gummy bears in the store, but the list of ingredients they contain is not at all impressive. Most of them contain corn syrup, sugar, dextrose, artificial flavors and artificial colors, which are not very healthy. Of course, we believe in all of these in moderation and enjoy these treats every now and then... but if you're on a healthy diet and love to indulge in sweet treats, you'll need a better solution.

Why are gummy bears considered healthy?

  1. Made with only wholesome ingredients - there are no additives, flavors or colors in these chews!
  2. The gelatin contained in it is beneficial for intestinal health.
  3. No refined sugar - these gummy bears are sweetened only with honey and fruit juice.

In addition to the fact that the delicacy contains healthy ingredients, it also has a very pleasant taste.

I made these gummy bears with Vital Proteins Beef Gelatin. I know beef gelatin in candy sounds pretty weird, but don't judge until you try it.

Like collagen, it has a number of beneficial properties.

Of course, homemade marmalade is much healthier than store-bought treats. That is why many families with small children try to avoid “harmful” purchases and prepare various delicacies on their own. Chewing marmalade is no exception. Having mastered the simple rules of its preparation, you can pamper your kids with a delicious dessert every day! A few tips will help add variety to the presented recipes, as well as make homemade marmalade practically indistinguishable from a store-bought product:

  • The basis for dessert can be any juice, drink, jelly, fruit drink, milkshake, cocoa, or coffee. The taste of the liquid should be adjusted at your discretion. Sugar, vanillin, cinnamon, cardamom, lemon or orange zest and various essences will help with this.
  • Delicious marmalade can easily be made not only from liquid, but also from fruit puree. Strawberries, raspberries, cherries, currants and other gifts of summer can successfully replace juice or drink. However, in order for a dessert based on fruit puree to have a pleasant taste, the amount of sugar will need to be increased at your discretion.
  • To prepare chewing marmalade, it is recommended to use silicone molds. From such devices it is easy to get the delicacy intact.
