  • When a lot of guests come to the house for some holiday, you can’t do without light snacks. Everyone has long been tired of ordinary sandwiches, canapés require a little effort, but tartlets baked with mushrooms and chicken are a rather simple and interesting option.

    In addition, it will be inexpensive, because the baskets themselves cost pennies, and the filling for the tartlets, namely chicken with mushrooms, requires very little. So pretty quickly you will have a delicious snack without any extra hassle.

    Cold tartlets with smoked chicken and mushrooms

    1. Place 3 cream cheeses in the freezer while you prepare the rest of the ingredients. It will become hard and easier to grate. Put the frying pan on to heat up. Pour 2 tbsp into it. l. vegetable oil.

    2. Cut 300 g of champignons into medium cubes and sauté in a frying pan (approximately 10 minutes). Stir if necessary.

    3. Then set aside to cool.
      Mushrooms will cool faster if you transfer them from the pan to a cold bowl.

    4. Cut 200 g of smoked chicken into small cubes and place in a bowl.

    5. Remove 3 processed cheeses from the freezer and grate, preferably finely. Combine with meat.

    6. Add 3-4 cloves of garlic, finely grated (or crushed through a press), to the products in the bowl. Place the slightly cooled mushrooms there.

    7. Season the resulting salad with 3 tbsp. l. mayonnaise, mix. There is no need to add salt, since the chicken, cheese and mayonnaise are already salted.

    8. A few minutes before serving, pour the filling into 20 small baskets and place them on a beautiful tray or platter.

    Step-by-step recipe for tartlets baked with chicken and mushrooms

    1. Put the frying pan on to heat up. Finely chop 1 medium onion. Pour 2 tbsp into the pan. l. vegetable oil and add chopped onion to sauté.

    2. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180°C.
    3. Cut 250-300 g of champignons into medium cubes, add to the sauté and stir. Cook for 10 minutes.

    4. Grind 200 g of boiled chicken meat (preferably fillet), place in a frying pan and stir.

    5. Then add 1 pinch of freshly ground black pepper (or packaged), salt and dried dill (or 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh), mix again and simmer for 2 minutes.

    6. Place 10 medium-sized tartlets on a foil-lined baking sheet.

    7. Place the mushroom mixture in them.

    8. Sprinkle all products with grated 200 g of hard cheese.

    9. Pour 1 tbsp on top. l. cream.

    10. Bake for up to 20 minutes (until cheese is lightly browned). It is advisable to serve such products hot, although they are just as tasty when cooled.

    You don’t have to add cream to the tartlets with mushrooms and chicken, but immediately simmer the champignons in a frying pan in sour cream.     Step-by-step recipe for meat tartlets with filling

    Here the technology really consists of 3 stages: first you need to bake the meat baskets, then fill them with filling and bake again. At first glance, the preparation seems quite troublesome, but everything is done very quickly, and it’s worth it.

    Bake meat baskets

    1. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180°C.
    2. Place 2 chicken breasts, 2 medium onions, 3 cloves of garlic into a blender bowl and blend until smooth. Place the minced meat in a bowl, add 2 pinches of freshly ground (or packaged) black pepper and salt.

    3. Finely grate 2 raw potatoes and add to the minced meat. Mix well and beat, scooping it up and throwing it back into the bowl with force. Beaten minced meat holds its shape better during heat treatment (this applies to all minced meat products).
    4. Place the mince mixture into 20 muffin tins and smooth the sides and bottom.

    5. Bake for 10 minutes. After removing the baked baskets from the oven, do not remove them from the baking sheet or remove them from the molds; you will fill them with the filling directly into them.

    Prepare the filling

    1. Put the frying pan on to heat up. Pour 2 tbsp into it. l. vegetable oil.

    2. Cut 1 onion into medium cubes and sauté.
    3. Cut 400-450 g of champignons into medium cubes and add to sauté. Sauté for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    4. At the end of cooking the mushrooms, add 1 pinch of freshly ground (or packaged) black pepper and salt, stir and simmer for 2 minutes.

    Bring the products to readiness

    1. Fill the baskets with mushroom filling.

    2. Finely grate 100g of hard cheese and sprinkle generously over each tartlet. Bake at the same temperature for 10 minutes (until the cheese is browned).
    3. Place on a platter or tray and serve immediately.

    Simple microwave recipe

    Cooking tartlets in the microwave is very easy, especially if you take care in advance and make the filling the day before. On the day of the celebration, it will be enough to simply fill the ready-made shortbread baskets and quickly melt the cheese.

    It’s easy to simplify the recipe if you replace hard cheese with processed cheese: buy ready-made delicious cheese in a box and instead of sauce, season chicken with mushrooms with it.

    For the dish prepare:

    • chicken thigh;
    • mushrooms – 100 g;
    • onion;
    • processed cheese;
    • any spices to taste.

    Fry the mushrooms, chicken and onions until the juices release: do not make the filling too dry, otherwise it will lose its taste. Mix everything with cheese to form a viscous mass. Divide the resulting mixture into tartlets and then bake for a few minutes in the microwave. Place the finished appetizer on a platter and serve it on the table.

    How to serve tartlets festively

    Your products already look appetizing, but you have a holiday, which means the presentation should be festive.

    • Contrasting decorations will be sprigs of young greenery, onion feathers, fresh or pickled red bell pepper, cucumber, zucchini or squash. But it’s better to boil carrots or use canned ones. Boiled beets will also do, but there shouldn’t be a lot of it – literally the size of a pea: it can change the taste of the dish for the worse.
    • If you want to decorate with onion rings, you will have to marinate them first . To do this, you need to boil water with vinegar in a ratio of 4 x 1, sweeten and salt to taste, and pour onion rings for 30-60 minutes. After this treatment, it will lose its sharp taste and give the dish freshness.
    • Miniature roses made from untwisted and re-twisted crab sticks would look good on such appetizers.
    • Before decorating the products, you can sprinkle them with boiled yolk, ground nuts, and dried sesame seeds.
    • Sails on skewers made of thinly sliced ​​hard cheese or lettuce will look beautiful.
