Chops with pineapple and cheese - a dish for the holiday!
Pineapple is exactly the product that goes perfectly with any meat: chicken, pork, beef, rabbit and even turkey.
Based on this combination, you can make amazingly delicious salads, sandwiches, main courses and, of course, the famous pineapple chops sprinkled with cheese.
The main secret to delicious chops is variety. Don’t be afraid to experiment in the kitchen, add new products, sauces, spices and the dish will be special every time.

The taste of chops largely depends on the quality of the meat. If you want to cook a really juicy and tender dish, then you need to use fresh ingredients that have not been frozen. This is especially important for chicken fillet. If it was frozen, the dish will be dry and tough. You can use fresh pineapples, but canned ones are most often used. Hard cheese is used, as it melts well and gives a beautiful crust.
Brush the pieces with butter or pour vegetable oil. It will tenderize the meat by adding fat to the meat.
Chops with cheese are delicious as long as they are fresh. Then the crust dries out and becomes hard. If there is any meat left, then before storing you can grease the cheese top with mayonnaise or sour cream, then put it in an airtight container and put it in the refrigerator. If necessary, you can take out the chop and just heat it up.
Fry the chops in well-heated oil. At high temperatures, the protein instantly coagulates and the juices remain inside the piece. You can also use any breading to seal the juice.
Meat must be washed before cooking, but it cannot be fried while wet, since drops of water sharply lower the temperature of the fat, which subsequently leads to evaporation of moisture. Be sure to wash the pieces and pat them well with paper towels; you can let them lie on the table so that the surface dries.
Procedure for preparing chops
It is recommended to rinse any meat before cooking, but putting a wet piece into hot fat is unacceptable. This is, firstly, dangerous, and secondly, excess moisture lowers the temperature, which, in turn, contributes to dehydration of the product. Dry the cutlets in the refrigerator for a couple of hours or pat dry with a paper towel.
The chops themselves are prepared like this:
1. Pork or veal tenderloin must be cut, holding the knife strictly perpendicular to the fibers (chicken fillet is only flattened, but if there is little of it, and there are many eaters, then they do the same with it as with the above products). 2. Beat the blanks with a hammer (to prevent juice and fragments of flesh from flying around the kitchen, they are covered with stretch film). 3. The chop is rubbed with spices, but not salted. 4. The filling is placed on the meat. It can be not only pineapple, but also other products (for example, mushrooms or herbs). 5. The product is sprinkled with grated cheese and baked (the oven is heated in advance).
If the chop turns out to be thick, then initially fry it until lightly golden in a frying pan. Only then add the cheese and place it in the oven.
How to prepare meat for chops:
1. The meat is cut across the grain and beaten. It is more convenient to do this through a bag or cling film so that the juice does not splash.
2. The pieces are rubbed with spices. It is believed that salted meat releases juice and becomes dry. Therefore, you need to add salt at the end of cooking, but in many cases this is impossible, and the resulting crust does not allow the spices to penetrate inside.
3. Place the filling. In our case, these are pineapples, but any other products can be added to them.
4. The meat is sprinkled with cheese and baked until done.
Recipe 1: Pork Chops with Pineapple and Cheese
A classic version of preparing chops with pineapple and cheese, which can very often be found on the holiday table.
For cooking you will need a large piece of pork tenderloin. Products:
- Pork tenderloin - 800 gr.
- Pineapples - 1 can
- Spices
- Mayonnaise
- Grated cheese
How to cook
1. Cut the pork into slices across the grain. The thickness of the pieces is approximately 1.5 cm. Beat with a hammer on both sides and rub with seasonings.
2. Grease a baking sheet and lay out the chops.
3. Cover the top with mayonnaise.
4. Drain the syrup from the pineapples. We place the ring on the meat, but you can also sprinkle the chop with chopped pieces, do it as is more convenient.
5. Sprinkle with cheese and place in the oven. We stand for 35 minutes at 180 degrees and you can enjoy delicious chops with pineapple and cheese.
Cooking process
Prepare chicken chops with pineapple and cheese for six servings.
We wash and dry the thighs, wiping them with a paper towel. Marinate them in salt and pepper. Add a few drops of olive oil and sprinkle with lemon juice. Leave to marinate in a cool place for half an hour.
Free the pineapple rings from excess liquid.
Grate the cheese.
Preheat the oven to two hundred degrees.
Grease a baking sheet with olive oil and place marinated chicken thighs. We put a pineapple ring on each of them.
Pour mayonnaise and sprinkle hard cheese on top.
Place in the oven for forty minutes, reducing the temperature to one hundred and eighty degrees.
Meanwhile, wash the dill under running water, dry it and chop it finely.
Before serving, sprinkle it over the thighs.
Recipe 2: Chops with pineapple and cheese
In addition to the classic pineapple filling, these chops are topped with pickled mushrooms.
But if you wish, you can also use mushrooms fried in a frying pan. You can cook from any meat: pork, chicken breast and veal. Products:
- Meat - 600 gr.
- Mayonnaise - 4 tbsp. spoons
- Vegetable oil
- A pineapple
- Mushrooms - 200 gr.
- Cheese
- Spices
How to cook
1. Cut the washed and dried meat into layers. We beat back.
2. Mix mayonnaise with pepper and salt. You can add any spices. Coat the chops on both sides with the resulting sauce and leave to marinate for half an hour.
3. Drain the marinade from the mushrooms and chop them into slices. If using fresh mushrooms, cut into pieces and fry in oil. Don't forget to add salt and then tilt the pan to get rid of excess fat. By the way, you can pour it into a baking tray in which we will bake the meat.
4. Drain the marinade from the pineapples and cut into cubes.
5. Place the chops on a greased baking sheet, put mushrooms on top, sprinkle with pineapple and grated cheese.
6. Bake until ready at 180 degrees.
Recipe 3: Garlic Chops with Pineapple and Chicken Breast Cheese
To prepare such chops, you can use not only chicken breast, but also turkey breast.

How to make Garlic Chops with Pineapple and Chicken Breast Cheese:
1. Place 2 pieces in a plastic bag and beat through it.

- 3-4 tsp. sour cream

- 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil

Preparation
- For chops, you can use pork pulp (it may be fattier) or loin. Wash the meat, dry with a towel. Cut the pork into chops, 4-5 mm thick.
- Cover the pieces with cling film and use a mallet to pound on both sides. It will be enough to apply 5-6 blows on each side.
- Cover a baking sheet with foil, pour a little oil and spread it with a pastry brush. Place the pieces of pork, add salt and pepper each. You can also sprinkle with your favorite spices.
- Using the same pastry brush, brush each piece of meat with sour cream. Instead of sour cream, you can optionally use mayonnaise (preferably homemade) or yogurt.
- Place a slice of canned pineapple on each piece of meat. If you don't have pineapple slices on hand, then pieces will do.
- Grate the hard cheese on a coarse grater. The variety doesn’t really matter, the main thing is that it melts well.
- Sprinkle grated hard cheese generously onto each piece. Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 190 degrees and bake for half an hour.
- Pineapple pork chops taste best when hot. Serve them with sauces, side dishes, vegetables and fresh herbs.
Recipe 4: Veal chops, pineapple and cheese
To prepare such chops you will need young veal.
But you can also take beef, if it is not old and has a light color. A soy sauce-based sauce will help soften the fibers. Products:
- Veal - 600 gr.
- Soy sauce - 5 tbsp. spoons
- Pineapples
- Cheese
- Pepper
- Vegetable oil
- Ketchup - 2 tbsp. spoons
- Mustard - 1 tbsp. spoon
- Flour
How to cook chops with pineapple and cheese:
1. Mix soy sauce with ketchup, spices and mustard. Set aside to allow the ingredients to dissolve and combine.
2. Cut the beef, beat it well and grease the pieces on all sides with the prepared sauce. Place on top of each other in a container, cover and leave for 2 hours.
3. Pour oil into a shallow frying pan and place on the stove.
4. Dip the chops in flour and fry for a minute on both sides.
5. Place the chops in a greased baking sheet, sprinkle with pineapple pieces and grated cheese on top.
6. Place in the oven to bake until done. Then take it out, immediately put it in a saucepan and cover with a lid. Leave for half an hour.
Recipe 5: Chops with pineapple and cheese in a frying pan
No oven? This is not a reason to refuse a juicy chop with pineapple and cheese. Moreover, it can be cooked in a frying pan. Of course, in this case it is more difficult to obtain a crispy cheese crust, but the dish will still delight you with its most delicate taste. For this recipe we will use pork.
Products:
- Meat - 500 gr.

- Eggs - 2 pcs.
How to cook chops with pineapple and cheese in a frying pan:
1. Cut the prepared meat, beat it with a hammer and season it with spices.
2. Beat eggs with a pinch of salt and 30 ml of water.
3. Dip the chops in the egg and fry in a frying pan on both sides until cooked. Turn off the stove.
4. Place a little grated cheese on each chop, then pineapple and cheese again. Don't neglect the inner layer, it will help the pineapple stick to it.
5. Now you can simply cover the pan with a lid and simmer until the cheese melts. Or transfer the chops to a flat plate and heat in the microwave. If you have a grill, you can also use it, it will be even tastier.
Recipe 6: Chicken Chops with Pineapple, Cheese and Fresh Tomatoes
You simply can’t think of a juicier filling; this is the best option for a rather dry chicken breast.
Since the chops are small in diameter, we will cook them in a continuous layer, like a casserole. This same technique will allow you to retain moisture as much as possible and not dry out the edges. We estimate the quantity of products by eye. Products:
- Chicken breasts

- Garlic

How to cook chicken chops with pineapple, cheese and fresh tomatoes:
1. Cut the chicken across the grain and beat off the pieces. You don't need much, just a little. Salt and fry in a frying pan on one side.
2. Place the chicken on a greased baking sheet, raw side down. It will brown during cooking.
3. Lubricate with sauce made from mayonnaise and garlic.
4. Place pineapple rings on top, then tomato slices and cover everything with cheese. If you don’t like a dry cheese crust, you can apply a thin mesh of mayonnaise on top using a pastry bag or making a hole in the bag.
5. Place in the oven for half an hour, bake until golden brown.

This dish has already become my signature dish - I definitely prepare it for all holidays, for guests - and everyone is delighted! Pancakes melt in your mouth - thanks to the fact that they are prepared with starch and milk.
Main ingredients:
- Eggs – 6 pieces
- Milk – 0.5 liters
- Sunflower oil – 1 tablespoon
- Starch – 5-6 tablespoons
- Cottage cheese – 300 grams
- Sugar, butter, sour cream - to taste
How to cook:
- Beat 5 eggs with sugar, add starch, stirring the egg mixture constantly so that there are no lumps.
- Pour in sunflower oil and milk, mix everything, let stand for 15 minutes. The dough should turn out liquid.
- Grease the frying pan with a piece of lard or sunflower oil, fry the pancakes on one side.
- Make the filling: grind cottage cheese with egg and sugar, you can add raisins and poppy seeds.
- Place the filling on the prepared pancakes and wrap.
- Place the sheets in a saucepan, pot or cauldron, coat the layers with melted butter or sour cream.
- Place the dish in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 15 minutes.

Recipe 7: Chops with pineapple, cheese and nut sauce in foil
Foil prevents liquid from evaporating and allows the meat to remain juicy. And the delicious nut sauce adds an extraordinary taste and aroma to chops with cheese and pineapple.
Products:
- Meat - 600 gr.
- Pineapples - 1 can
- Sour cream
- Grated cheese
For the sauce:
- Nuts (walnuts) - 0.5 cups
- Lemon juice - 20 ml.
- Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Spicy mustard - 1 teaspoon
How to cook chops with pineapple, cheese and nut sauce in foil:
1. As usual, cut the meat, beat it and grease it with sour cream, you can use mayonnaise or cream. Leave to marinate while preparing the sauce.
2. Fry the nuts in a frying pan without oil, cool and chop. For a fine and homogeneous mass, you can spin it with a blender; if you like to feel the pieces, you can simply roll it on the table with a rolling pin. Add chopped garlic, oil, mustard, lemon juice to the nuts and mix well.
3. Place the chop on a piece of foil, a spoonful of nut sauce on top, then a slice of pineapple and a slice of cheese. Seal the edges tightly and place the bundle on a baking sheet. We pack all the chops in the same way. To distribute the filling evenly, you can lay out all the chops at once, then all the sauce, pineapples and cheese.
4. Place in the oven for 35-40 minutes.
Flavorful pork
We invite you to make a very tasty holiday dish. You will need:
- three buds of cloves;
- 1 can of pineapple;
- 700 g pork fillet;
- dried rosemary (1 tsp);
- vegetable oil;
- pepper, salt.
Prepare this dish like this:
- Cut the fillet into small pieces. Drain the pineapples and cut them into tiny cubes.
- Fry the pork pieces in vegetable oil for 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Place the pineapples in the frying pan, stir and fry for 15 minutes (covered). Add cloves, rosemary, pepper and salt. You can also add some pineapple juice and simmer for another 10 minutes.
Recipe 8: Chops with pineapple and cheese on a bed of vegetables
In general, this dish can be prepared with various vegetables: potatoes, pumpkin, eggplant, zucchini, green beans. But we will use a bed of onions and carrots. We take any meat.
Products:
- Onion - 3 pcs.
- Carrots - 3 pcs.
- Tenderloin – 700 gr
- Pineapples - 1 can
- Grated cheese
- Mayonnaise
- Spices
- Vegetable oil
How to cook chops with pineapple and cheese on a bed of vegetables:
1. Peel the onions, cut them and fry for two minutes in a frying pan. Add carrots cut into strips. Can be grated for Korean salads. Fry everything together for a couple more minutes, it doesn’t take long.
2. Place the roast on the bottom of the baking sheet and distribute it in an even layer.
3. Cut the meat into plates, beat, salt, pepper and place on a baking sheet.
4. Lubricate the pieces with mayonnaise.
5. Lay out the chopped pineapples.
6. Finish layer – grated cheese. We send our creation to the oven. If you used chicken breast, then 20-25 minutes is enough. For beef and pork, increase the time to 40-50 minutes.
Cooking method
If you are using chicken breast, remove the skin. After this, rinse and beat. Remove the films from the fillet, cut into small pieces and beat on both sides.
In a separate container, mix soy sauce, honey and lemon juice. Shake everything well until completely mixed.
Pour the sauce over the chicken, add salt, pepper and curry. Leave it in the refrigerator for half an hour.
We remove the liquid from the olives by placing them in a colander. We do the same with pineapples.
Rinse the greens under running water and dry.
Heat olive oil in a frying pan and add chicken. Fry a little on both sides.
Preheat the oven to two hundred degrees.
Place the fried meat on a baking sheet greased with olive oil. Place pineapple rings on top. Sprinkle cheese on top.
Let it bake for half an hour. But the time may be longer. It all depends on what kind of meat you use. Chicken fillet takes less time than thighs.
We take out the finished meat. Before serving, decorate with finely chopped herbs. Place olives in the middle of each piece of meat. You can use olives instead of olives.
