Don't know what to cook as a hot dish for a change? Do you need to make a hearty and tasty snack before your guests arrive? Then I recommend that you pay attention to this recipe and repeat it at home.

A simple recipe for delicious wings

This is one of the easiest recipes; it can be quickly and inexpensively mastered at home.

For 2 servings use:

  • a dozen wings;
  • garlic;
  • 60 g starch;
  • 30 g sugar;
  • pepper and salt to your taste;
  • 1 egg white;
  • lemon;
  • 0.3 liters of refined vegetable oil.

The simplicity of this recipe does not mean that you can use any raw material. If the manufacturers have not cut off the very edge of the wing, you need to do it yourself, there is almost no meat there anyway. From several preparations you can cook an excellent broth. The meat is washed and dried with a paper towel.

Since the skin on a chicken wing is very thick, it must be cut deeply. Appropriate cuts will make it easier for the marinade to penetrate. Having prepared the wings, place them in a deep bowl or enamel pan. Important: any marinade for such a dish must contain sugar. The role of this component is to enhance the taste of other spices.

But it is not necessary to use salt. It is often replaced with soy sauce. The choice of pepper type and quantity is determined by how spicy you want the cooked wings to be. Garlic is grated on a fine mesh grater. But if you have a special garlic press, it is better to use it.

To enhance the aroma, additional ginger is added. If the meat is tough, it must be softened by adding lemon juice. Rub the marinade in by hand and then transfer the chicken to the refrigerator for 3 or 4 hours. Shake the container hourly to ensure everything is mixed properly. Only then can you fry the wings.

Frying them in a batter of egg whites and starch produces crispy wings. Important: the batter must completely surround the product. Next, prepare the deep fryer. The container is filled with vegetable oil, in which the chicken slices should float. The deep fryer is heated so that there is a slight smoke. Place 5 pieces there and fry them for about 10 minutes.

It is not advisable to fry more wings at one time. Otherwise the oil will cool before they are ready.

You can evaluate the quality of a dish using a cut. As soon as the wings are fried, they are laid out on a napkin to absorb excess fat. Submission possible:

  • from tkemali;
  • with fresh garden vegetables;
  • with greens.


Wings in a frying pan are quick and delicious!

Let's start with the very first, and perhaps quick, recipe. We will need half a liter of sunflower oil (it is important that the wings are completely immersed in it) + simple ingredients for a quick marinade. And literally 15 minutes of cooking in a frying pan so that they are fried and crispy...

Ingredients:

  • Wings
  • Soy sauce
  • Garlic – 2 teeth
  • Salt pepper to taste

Chicken wing sauce

For dipping, you can use any sauce you prefer. Or even better, 2 sauces! Homemade ketchup goes well, or you can make it quickly from fresh tomatoes. Recipe below...

Red signature sauce:

  • Tomatoes – preferably lady fingers, as there are few seeds (can be replaced with tomato paste, or tomatoes in sauce, or homemade ketchup)
  • Greens Cilantro (at least Parsley, just add a little less)
  • Dill
  • Garlic
  • A pinch of Khmeli Suneli
  • Finely chopped onion
  • You can add a little basil
  • Salt pepper to taste
  • We modify the spiciness with hot red + adjika
  • Dilute with boiling water until the desired thickness is obtained, so that it is not too thick

Mix the whole thing, cool, and leave for preferably 1-3 hours (to get a rich onion flavor).

Classic method

This is the recipe used by experienced chefs in cafes around the world. To prepare 10 wings use:

  • 2 garlic cloves;
  • egg white;
  • 30 g sugar;
  • 60 g potato starch;
  • lemon;
  • 0.3 liters of sunflower oil.

Garlic is chopped with a knife or processed in a garlic press. To prepare the marinade, mix salt, sugar and garlic. Additionally, use spices of your choice. As in the previous case, the wings will have to be cut and then soaked in the marinade in the refrigerator for 3 or 4 hours. The batter still contains starch and egg white.

According to KFC standard

It is impossible to deep-fry wings without breading, otherwise they will be spoiled. But this is not a reason to refuse experiments. You should definitely try the method developed by the culinary experts of one of the leading fast food chains in the world. The essence of the original approach is a specific set of spices, used in precise proportions.

For 1 kg of wings use:

  • egg;
  • 180 g flour;
  • 30 g chicken seasoning;
  • 0.2 l of boiled water;
  • 90 g starch;
  • half a teaspoon of ground pepper;
  • 15 g of dry herbs;
  • 30 g paprika.

Treating the wings with a mixture of salt, water and pepper lasts 1 hour. Whether to flavor the starch with spices in advance is a matter for home cooks to decide for themselves. Beat the egg with sparkling water. A mixture of paprika and flour is used as a breading. After marinating, place the wings on a paper towel, which will collect excess oil and reduce the fat content of the food.

Chicken wings, breaded, deep fried

Wash the wings, dry them, remove the third phalanx. Cut along the joint into shoulder and elbow parts.

Break four eggs into a bowl. Add 60 grams of very hot chili sauce. Add 2 teaspoons of salt. And mix well. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, pour 250 grams of flour, 1 tsp. sweet paprika, 1 tsp. black pier

Option with Buffalo sauce

This type of deep-fried chicken wings has an impressive calorie content. A special feature of the recipe is the use of cane sugar and tomato paste, as well as chili sauce. The semi-finished product is cut into 3 identical parts. As always, you will have to discard the ends. After deep-frying, the wings are placed on a sieve or on napkins.

Buffalo sauce is prepared as follows:

  1. melt butter;
  2. add sugar;
  3. after the mixture boils, add 90 ml of tomato sauce;
  4. pepper, add crushed garlic;
  5. mix everything;
  6. boil;
  7. add chili;
  8. bring to a boil again;
  9. removed from the stove.

How to serve and how to complement the dish

  • A chic side dish for KFS wings would be French fries or country-style potatoes.
  • You can always serve another sauce instead of teriyaki sauce. If you like it spicy, then prepare tkemali sauce or spicy tomato sauce. Cheese and sweet berry sauces will add interesting notes .

Note to the hostess

  • If time allows, roll the wings in breadcrumbs - the crust will be even crispier, and the meat will be juicy and tender. The correct way to do it is this: first roll a piece in starch, then in a slightly beaten egg with salt, and then in breadcrumbs.
  • It is convenient to fry wings in a slow cooker - many of these devices are additionally equipped with special metal baskets.

Preparing the breading for the wings

I will have two types of breading: the first - using unglazed corn flakes without additives, and the second, experimental - using regular Hercules oat flakes.

Note: by the way, later, in the finished product, I didn’t notice much difference in taste between these two types of breading.

1. The corn flakes were too large for the breading, so I crushed them well with a rolling pin. At first I thought of using a blender for chopping, but then I decided that it would turn out too fine and, probably, I was right.

2. Add a little salt, more hot pepper and paprika to the breading. And I also add universal chicken seasoning. It usually comes with salt, so be careful.

3. Add turmeric. Not only is it a mild, satisfying seasoning, but it also adds a golden color to our wings.
