Cooking rules

To prepare a stuffed loaf, you can use baked goods made from white or black flour. The choice of option is a matter of taste. It is convenient to use French baguettes; they make excellent “cups” with filling.

Preparing the loaf involves removing most of the crumb and putting the filling in its place. The filling options are varied. This could be meat fare, prepared meat products (for example, ham), fish, vegetables. You can use several types of fillings, combined with each other and lay them in layers.

The stuffed loaf can be served just like that, or baked. Most often, they use the oven, but you can prepare this dish in the microwave. The loaf is usually served warm, but the cooled snack will be very tasty.

Interesting facts: in the Middle Ages, stale bread was used instead of plates, and food was laid out in pieces. And when the bread “plates” were empty, they were sure to eat them too.

With smoked chicken

The bread for these sandwiches is lightly toasted for a crispy texture. Smoked chicken makes the appetizer not just tastier, but also noticeably more satisfying. Fresh tomatoes add juiciness to sandwiches.

What you will need:

  • 6 slices of white bread;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • 1 processed cheese;
  • 2 eggs;
  • 100 g smoked chicken;
  • 1 tbsp. spoon of mayonnaise;
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of grain mustard;
  • 100 g cherry tomatoes;
  • 1 tbsp. spoon of vegetable oil;
  • a bunch of parsley;
  • salt.

How to do:

  1. Cut the pieces of bread in half diagonally. Brush with vegetable oil using a pastry brush.
  2. Fry the pieces on each side in a grill pan until golden brown.
  3. Grate the processed cheese.
  4. Boil the eggs, cool, peel, grate or chop with a knife. Combine them with cheese.
  5. Add chopped garlic, salt to taste and spread with mayonnaise. Mix properly.
  6. Brush the mixture onto the pieces of bread.
  7. Cut the smoked chicken into thin slices and place them on sandwiches.
  8. Cut the cherry into circles and place on top of the chicken.
  9. Garnish the appetizer with parsley sprigs.
  10. Add small piles of grain mustard to the dish.
  11. Serve immediately before the bread is soaked in the cheese spread and is crispy.

Stuffed loaf baked in the oven

This is a hot version of the snack; the stuffed loaf is baked in the oven. Serve immediately piping hot.

  • 1 loaf;
  • 200 gr. chicken fillet;
  • 200 gr. smoked ham or sausage;
  • 1 tomato;
  • 100 gr. hard cheese;
  • a little vegetable oil for lubrication.

We cut off the top part of the loaf; it will serve as a lid, so we cut off a layer that is not too thick.

We select the crumb from the remaining part of the loaf, we should get a “boat” with walls about 1 cm thick

Advice! The crumb is not used in this recipe, but there is no need to throw it away. It can be dried and crushed to prepare breadcrumbs, or used to add minced meat to cutlets.

Cook the chicken fillet in advance. By the time it is cooked, it should have cooled down so that you can cut without burning your fingers. Cut the boiled fillet and smoked ham into equal cubes. Remove the skin from the tomato, remove the seeds, and chop the pulp very finely. Grate hard cheese. Set aside about a third of the grated cheese; we will use it for sprinkling.

Mix the reserved cheese with tomatoes, ham and chicken fillet, mix. Salting, as a rule, is not required; the salt contained in the products is enough. But you can pepper it. Fill the loaf with filling, cover with the “lid” left earlier, that is, the cut off top. Sprinkle the “lid” with grated cheese. Bake in the oven until the cheese melts. Serve hot, cut into portions.

With carrots

What you need to take:

  • 200 g baguette;
  • 3 carrots;
  • 3 cloves of garlic;
  • 100 g cheese;
  • 70 g mayonnaise;
  • salt;
  • paprika.

How to do:

  1. Grate carrots and hard cheese.
  2. Grind the garlic using a press.
  3. Combine carrots, cheese and garlic, coat with mayonnaise, add salt and ground paprika to taste, mix.
  4. Cut the baguette into slices and put the prepared mixture on them. If desired, baguette pieces can be lightly fried in a frying pan, in a toaster, or dried in the oven.

Loaf stuffed with minced meat, baked in the microwave

You can cook a stuffed loaf in the microwave. We will make the filling with minced meat, scoop out the crumb, tomatoes and onions.

  • 1 loaf;
  • 200 gr. minced meat;
  • 1 onion;
  • 1 tomato;
  • 2 pickled cucumbers;
  • 1 bunch of greens (dill, parsley);
  • a little milk for soaking the loaf;
  • frying oil;
  • 50 gr. grated cheese.

Cut off the top of the loaf and remove the crumb from the bottom. Pour milk over the crumb to soften it. Fry chopped onion in oil. When it starts to brown, add the minced meat and fry everything together, stirring constantly so that the minced meat is crumbly.

Stuffed loaf with sausage and cheese

In this version, the loaf is baked with sausage and cheese. The sausage can be boiled or semi-smoked.

  • 1 loaf;
  • 200 gr. sausages;
  • 150 gr. smoked sausage cheese;
  • 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise;
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic;
  • butter, herbs, ready-made tomato sauce (you can use ketchup) to taste.

We cut the loaf into portions, but do not cut through the bottom crust; outwardly the loaf should appear whole. Pass the garlic through a press and mix it with mayonnaise. Lubricate each slice of loaf with the prepared sauce. Cut the sausage into circles or semicircles, depending on the diameter. Cut the sausage cheese into halves.

Carefully spread the slits on the loaf and place a piece of sausage and cheese between them. Bake for about 20 minutes in the oven. Then grease the hot loaf with butter and prepared tomato sauce, sprinkle with chopped herbs.

Sandwiches with blue cheese and fruit in the oven

These unusual sandwiches will pleasantly diversify the taste gamut of your daily menu.

Ingredients:

  • 120 gr. blue cheese
  • 0.5 pcs. ripe persimmon
  • 0.5 ripe pear
  • 1.5 tsp honey.
  • Baguette

Preparation:

Cut the French loaf into the desired number of sandwiches. Place it on a baking sheet and brown it in the oven. Place a little blue cheese on each baguette slice and return the pan to the oven for just a minute until the cheese melts slightly. Lay out the bread. Place slices of ripe persimmon on one part of the baguette, and pieces of pear on the other. The remaining pieces can be topped with fresh honey.

With tomatoes, eggplants, curd cheese

This dish is very easy to prepare. The result is a savory, delicious snack. Such sandwiches can be used for a picnic, a holiday table or a buffet table.

What you will need:

  • 6 slices of bread;
  • 1 eggplant;
  • 1 clove of garlic;
  • 1 tomato;
  • 200 g curd cheese;
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of flour;
  • salt;
  • ground black pepper;
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of vegetable oil;
  • several sprigs of fresh herbs - parsley or dill.

How to cook:

  1. Wash the eggplant, wipe it, cut it into circles, add salt, mix, and let stand for 20 minutes.
  2. Roll the blue ones in flour, fry until golden brown in a small amount of oil on both sides. Place on a paper towel to absorb the fat.
  3. Cut the fried eggplant into pieces. Do the same with the tomato. The vegetable pieces should be approximately the same size and shape. If necessary, add salt and stir.
  4. Place the pieces of bread in the oven and dry for three minutes. Then grate with garlic.
  5. Place a layer of cream cheese on each piece.
  6. Place a mixture of vegetables on top and garnish with fresh herb leaves. If desired, you can drizzle the finished sandwiches with olive oil.

Stuffed loaf with canned food

You can prepare the filling for a loaf of canned fish; you can use any canned food whose taste you like.

  • 1 loaf;
  • 100 gr. butter;
  • 1 can of canned fish;
  • 1 onion;
  • 3 boiled eggs;
  • 1 bunch of fresh herbs;
  • spices to taste;
  • oil for frying.

Cut off both ends of the loaf. We take out the crumb and the remaining central part and two cut tops.

Finely chop the onion and fry it until golden brown in vegetable oil. Add the crushed crumb to the finished onion and mix. Remove the pan from the heat. Add finely chopped herbs and mashed canned fish to the onion with bread crumb. Finely chop the boiled eggs and add to the filling. If the filling is a little dry, add the juice remaining in the can.

Soften the butter by keeping it warm for about 20 minutes. Grind the butter and mix with the rest of the filling ingredients. Fill the loaf from both sides, compacting the filling with two spoons.

We also fill the cut tops with filling and put them in place. Wrap the loaf in foil and put it in the refrigerator for several hours.

Hot sandwiches for the whole family

A baked loaf with cheese and garlic in the microwave does not have to be prepared as a whole dish - it can be taken as a base for making hot sandwiches. The recipe is very simple.

First of all, you need to prepare the filling for this dish. Required ingredients:

  • The loaf itself.
  • Hard cheese – 200 grams.
  • 100 grams of butter, which can be replaced with low-fat mayonnaise.
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • 1 medium sized bell pepper.
  • Two fresh tomatoes.
  • Onions and fresh herbs.
  • Boiled sausage.

First you need to prepare the filling. To do this, you need to cut the sausage, pepper and tomato into small slices. By the way, ingredients cut into strips are better laid out on the surface of the loaf. Grind cheese, garlic and fresh herbs. Mix everything thoroughly.

Appetizer with beets and herring

This appetizer option is one of the versions of the famous “Herring under a Fur Coat” salad, so we will prepare the filling with beets and pickled herring.

  • 1 loaf, it is better to use a French baguette;
  • 1 herring or 2 pcs. cleaned herring fillet;
  • 100 gr. processed cheese;
  • 2 eggs;
  • 50 gr. butter;
  • 1 beet;
  • 1 small bunch of greens (dill);
  • 10 gherkins or 3-4 pickled cucumbers;
  • salt, ground black pepper to taste.

Cook the beets and eggs in advance. We clean the herring, remove two fillets, removing small seeds. Grate cheese and boiled eggs on a fine grater. Let the butter soften, rub and combine with the egg and cheese. If you use lightly salted herring, you can add a little salt and pepper to the oil mass. Set the third part of the prepared mixture aside.

Hot sandwiches with mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes

This cooking method produces a dish with a spicy taste. All thanks to the combination of sun-dried tomatoes with lightly salted mozzarella and fragrant basil.

Ingredients:

  • 90-120 gr. mozzarella
  • 130 gr. sun-dried tomatoes
  • Sprig of fresh basil (can be replaced with dried)
  • 5 pieces of white loaf
  • Salt pepper

Preparation:

Place the pieces of bread on a baking sheet. Chop the tomatoes into large pieces and place on top. Tear the basil with your hands and sprinkle over the tomatoes. Lightly salt and pepper. Cut the mozzarella into circles and place on the tomatoes and basil. Bake for 15 minutes.

To make the sandwiches juicier, replace sun-dried tomatoes with fresh ones. According to this method of preparation, pieces of loaf must first be fried in a frying pan, and then proceed according to the method described above.

Loaf with herring

A quick and simple snack recipe - a loaf of bread stuffed with herring, carrots and eggs.

  • 1 loaf;
  • 200 gr. butter;
  • 1 herring, filleted;
  • 1 boiled carrot;
  • 2 boiled eggs;
  • 30 gr. green onions;
  • 30 gr. dill;
  • salt and black pepper to taste.

Cut off a piece of loaf from one edge. Then use a knife with a long blade to cut out the crumb, keeping the crust intact. We also remove the crumb from the cut piece.

Grind the removed crumb with your hands and mix it with finely chopped herbs. Melt the butter, cool it a little. Pour warm oil over the crumb and herbs and mix so that the oil is distributed evenly, add a little salt and pepper.

Grate the boiled carrots and finely chop the eggs. Cut the boneless fillets into small cubes. Mix all the prepared products. Fill the loaf with filling, pressing the filling with a spoon so that it fits as tightly as possible. We also fill the cut edge of the loaf with filling and place it against the rest of the loaf so that the loaf looks whole.

Wrap the loaf in foil or cling film. Place the loaf in the refrigerator to allow the butter to set. Cut the loaf into not too thick slices and serve.

From black bread with egg

This is an instant snack. Black bread is better suited for it. Hard cheese is usually used, but processed cheese can also be used.

What you will need:

Garlic croutons from black bread in the oven

  • 6 pieces of black bread;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • 100 g cheese;
  • 2 eggs;
  • 3 tbsp. spoons of mayonnaise;
  • salt;
  • vegetable oil.

How to do:

  1. Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the pieces of bread until golden brown on both sides. Then transfer them to a paper towel to absorb excess fat.
  2. Rub the pieces with salt and garlic cloves.
  3. Hard boil the eggs, cool and chop very finely with a knife.
  4. Grate the cheese.
  5. Place cheese, eggs, mayonnaise in a bowl. Mix thoroughly so that the mass is as homogeneous as possible.
  6. Grease the fried bread with the prepared mixture.
  7. Cut each piece in half, put fresh dill on top.


Traditionally, a snack of cheese, garlic and mayonnaise is spread on black bread.
