The season for new potatoes has finally begun, and we are excited about the opportunity to try a lot of delicious dishes. What do we not do with the first harvest: cook, fry, bake. It is clear that it is more common to simply boil it, sprinkled with dill. But today I suggest you make a little effort and bake new potatoes in the oven.

Without further ado, potatoes can be cooked whole with regular salt. You can also add herbs, garlic, cream, cheese or meat. All recipes are in front of you, choose and cook.

How to deliciously cook new potatoes in the oven

There are several secrets in baking the first potatoes, and I will share them with you:

  • Small or medium-sized tubers are usually chosen for baking;
  • If you have large specimens, it is better to cut them into 6 or 8 pieces, like a cake;
  • Many recipes include garlic, but if you don’t like it, you can do without it;
  • The first potatoes, despite their youth, take quite a long time to bake, but the time can be reduced if they are first boiled until half cooked.


New potatoes baked with garlic

I love garlic very much, dishes containing it are always number one on my list. A very simple dish with an amazing aroma. These potatoes are good to eat with a salad of fresh vegetables and some spicy sauce.

You will need:

  • Young potatoes – 1 kg.
  • Sunflower oil – 60 ml.
  • Garlic cloves – 3-4 pcs.
  • Salt, pepper - to taste

Bake:

  1. Peel the tubers, rinse them, and dry them. If you have small or small potatoes, bake them whole; for larger ones, divide them into 4 parts.
  2. Transfer the cuttings to a large bowl. Pour in sunflower oil, add salt, pepper and ground paprika. You can add your favorite dry herbs.
  3. Pass the garlic cloves through a press and add to the bowl. Mix everything well.
  4. Line a baking sheet or baking pan with parchment and place the dough on it in one layer.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, place the pan for 40-60 minutes. Cooking time depends on the size of the tubers.

Ruddy potatoes with an unusually delicate texture, which they acquire during baking thanks to the cheese filling, look appetizing and smell special - dried oregano and parsley go well with the other ingredients.

Ingredients _

  • potatoes (large) - 8 pcs.;
  • olive oil - 1-2 tbsp. l.;
  • grated Cheddar cheese - 100 g;
  • grated Gouda cheese - 100 g;
  • sea ​​salt or regular salt - to taste;
  • ground black pepper - to taste;
  • dried oregano - 1 tsp;
  • dried parsley - 1 tsp;
  • paprika flakes - 1 tsp.

Preparation

Cooking time: 1 hour 10 minutes

1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly, dry them and place them on a baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 200°C.

2. Grease the tubers generously with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.

3. Set to bake for 45 minutes. Then take out the potatoes and let them cool a little.

4. In a bowl, mix 100 g of grated Cheddar and Gouda, 1 tsp each. oregano, parsley and paprika, salt and black pepper to taste.

5. Cut each potato in the center (but not all the way to create a “pocket”).

6. Fill the potatoes with the cheese mixture.

Take:

  • Potatoes – 1 kg.
  • Oil – 3 large spoons.
  • Garlic – 3-4 cloves.
  • Salt pepper.
  • Chopped dill - a small spoon.

How to bake:

  1. Wash thoroughly and then dry the tubers. Cut each into 6-8 pieces (depending on size).
  2. In a bowl, mix crushed garlic, sunflower oil, ground black pepper, chili pepper, add salt. You can add other dried herbs if you like. Stir the resulting mixture until smooth.
  3. Place washed potatoes in a deep plate and pour garlic sauce over them. Mix thoroughly so that all the cuttings are coated with spices.
  4. Cover the bottom of the baking sheet with baking paper and place the dough on it.
  5. Place in an oven preheated to 200 O C for 30-40 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle the finished dish with fresh herbs.


Potatoes in sour cream - delicious recipe

You can bake new potatoes not only in oil. Some people like to bake it in various sauces. Keep one of the best baked potato recipes in sour cream sauce.

Necessary:

  • Potatoes – 1 kg.
  • Fresh herbs - 1 bunch.
  • Sour cream – 4 tablespoons.
  • Salt - to taste.
  • Butter – 10 gr.
  • Garlic – 4 cloves.

How to do:

  1. Peel the potatoes, wash and dry.
  2. Pour sour cream into a bowl and add salt.
  3. Grease the mold with butter and place the potatoes there.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180 o C, place the pan on the middle level, cook for 40-60 minutes.
  5. When the dish is ready, sprinkle with chopped herbs and garlic. Return to oven for 5 minutes with heat off.

Potatoes with lard in the oven on a baking sheet

A very small piece of lard is enough for the potatoes to be saturated with its taste and become juicy and soft. What else do you need on cold days to warm up and fill yourself with energy?!

In addition, lard is not as harmful as we have long imagined it to be. In moderate doses (optimally 30–40 g per day) it is quite useful. It contains two such fatty acids - linoleic and arachidonic, which are very important for the brain. And at high temperatures, toxic aldehydes and peroxides do not form in lard, as, for example, in vegetable oil. So, we can safely use this product!

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes – 1 kg.
  • Lard with a slot – 150 gr.
  • Smoked paprika – 1 tsp.
  • Dried garlic – 1 tsp.
  • Mixed peppers - to taste
  • Salt – 1 tsp.

This recipe is for those who cannot imagine a baked dish without a delicious cheese crust:
Ingredients:

  • Potatoes – 1 kg
  • Garlic – 3-4 cloves.
  • Hard cheese – 150 gr.
  • Sunflower oil – 2 large spoons.
  • Salt, pepper, seasonings for potatoes.

Preparation:

  1. Peel or simply wash the tubers. Dry it a little. Cut small tubers in half, large ones into slices about 1.5 cm thick.
  2. Mix the oil with salt, black pepper and garlic passed through a press. You can add any seasonings to this marinade, replace fresh garlic with dry garlic, or do without it altogether.
  3. In a deep plate, mix the slices with the marinade.
  4. Cover a baking sheet with parchment and place the potato slices on it.
  5. Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180°C for 30-40 minutes.
  6. When the potatoes are almost ready, sprinkle them with grated cheese and return to the oven for 10 minutes.

There's nothing complicated about baked potatoes at all. A few simple gestures and a little time, and you have a fragrant, delicious dish on the table.

We take:

  • Tubers – 1 kg.
  • Salt, spices - to taste.
  • Garlic – 3 cloves.
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tablespoons.

Preparation:

  1. Peel large potatoes, rinse and dry. Cut the potatoes into 6-8 pieces.
  2. Combine vegetable oil with chopped garlic, salt, pepper, paprika and dried oregano. You can add other seasonings as you wish.

To prepare you will need:

  • potatoes – 1.2 kg;
  • coriander, paprika, thyme and other aromatic herbs to taste;
  • salt – 0.5-0.75 tsp;
  • butter – 50-70 g;
  • vegetable oil – 30 ml;
  • garlic – 2 medium-sized cloves;
  • hard cheese – 70-100 g.

Cooking method in stages:

  1. Choose the smoothest and most undamaged potatoes and wash the skins thoroughly. Cut each tuber into 6-8 fairly thin, even slices.
  2. Place the chopped potatoes in a bowl, add salt, favorite seasonings, and vegetable oil. Mix well with your hands so that the spices are evenly distributed throughout the potatoes.
  3. Place in a heat-resistant form (on a baking sheet) strictly in one layer, otherwise the slices will not bake quickly. Bake for 20-30 minutes at a temperature of about 200 degrees (depending on the features and type of oven).
  4. Melt the butter in the microwave or on the stove, mix with finely chopped garlic. Remove the potatoes from the oven and pour the aromatic garlic-butter mixture over them. Finely grate the cheese and sprinkle it on the dish. It is better to use firm, mature varieties such as Parmesan, Grana Padano, etc. Return the pan with the potatoes to the oven for another 10-15 minutes to form a crust and the inside of the potato wedges to reach perfect condition.

Serve immediately after cooking, before the cheese hardens.

Recipe for new potatoes with chicken

Ingredients:

  • Chicken fillet – 600 gr.
  • Potatoes – 1 kg.
  • Bell pepper – ½ pc.
  • Onion – 2 pcs.
  • Mayonnaise – 2 large spoons.
  • Mustard - a teaspoon.
  • Salt, spices.

Baking:

  1. Rinse the chicken fillet, dry it with paper napkins, and cut into large slices.
  2. Mix mayonnaise with mustard, marinate the fillet in this mixture for 30 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, prepare the potatoes. Peel it, wash it, cut it into slices 1 cm thick.
  4. Mix vegetable oil with salt and dry seasonings. Rub the potato slices with this mixture.
  5. Cut the onion into thin half rings, divide the bell pepper into strips.
  6. Place the chicken in the pan first, then the potatoes, and place the onions and peppers in the last layer. Wrap the pan tightly with foil.
  7. Cook at 180°C for 40 minutes, then remove the foil. Return the casserole to the oven, brown the dish for another 10 minutes.


How to bake potatoes in foil
Potatoes baked in foil with lard and onions - what could be simpler. You will get a fragrant, tender treat, very satisfying.

Take:

  • Potato tubers – 5 pcs.
  • Lard – 100 gr.
  • Bulb.
  • Salt, seasonings.

Preparation:

  1. For this dish, take large tubers. Clean, wash, give time to dry. Cut each potato into halves.
  2. Peel the onion and cut into slices.
  3. Cut the lard into slices about ½ centimeter thick. Lard can be replaced with bacon or smoked brisket.
  4. Take half a tuber, sprinkle it with your favorite seasonings and salt. Place a piece of lard on top, then an onion ring and cover with the other half of the potato. Salt and sprinkle with seasonings.
  5. Wrap this design in foil, matte side inward.
  6. Bake the dish for about 1 hour at a temperature of 180 o C.
  7. Cut the finished potatoes in half directly in foil, pour sour cream, mayonnaise or ketchup on them. Sprinkle with fresh herbs.

Whole potatoes in the oven, baked in foil with skins

The combination of aromatic herbs will not leave anyone indifferent! The recipe uses thyme and rosemary, but you can use any spices. Mixtures of different seasonings that can be bought in the store work well for this dish. Try different variations and the potatoes will taste different each time.

Required ingredients:

  • 2 potatoes;
  • 1 g thyme;
  • 1 g rosemary;
  • olive oil;
  • salt and pepper to taste.

Cooking method:

1. Wash the root vegetables and make punctures over the entire surface with a wooden stick.

2. Place each potato on a piece of foil, wrapping it in a boat shape. Sprinkle with herbs and pour olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste.

Wrap each root vegetable tightly in foil and bake at 160-180 degrees until done. Cooking time depends on the size of the tubers. On average it will take 20-30 minutes.

Potatoes baked with bacon

A very tasty, but, unfortunately, not the healthiest dinner can be made from baked potatoes with bacon. Cream will add a delicate taste, and bacon will give it a breathtaking aroma.

We take:

  • Potatoes – ½ kg.
  • Cream (15-20%) – 50 ml.
  • Smoked bacon – 250 gr.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves.
  • Mayonnaise - large spoon.
  • Butter – 10 gr.
  • Salt pepper.
  • Greens - to taste

Preparation:

  1. Wash the potatoes, place them in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Place on the fire and cook until almost done. Cooking time depends on the size of the tubers.
  2. Drain the water, let the potatoes cool, then remove the skins.
  3. Mix cream (it is acceptable to replace it with full-fat sour cream), finely chopped herbs, crushed garlic.
  4. Pour in the seasonings, marinate the boiled potatoes in this mixture, leaving for 20 minutes.
  5. Cut the bacon into thin strips according to the number of potatoes. Smoked bacon can be replaced with raw bacon.
  6. Wrap the pickled tubers in strips of bacon and secure the ends with a toothpick.
  7. Grease a baking dish with butter and add potatoes. Top with remaining sauce.
  8. Bake the dish for 10 minutes at 180 o C until golden brown. If you took fresh bacon, the baking time is 20 minutes.

How to cook potatoes in the oven with pork

  • Potatoes – 2 kg.
  • Carrots – 2 pcs.
  • Onions – 2 pcs.
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Pork – 500 gr.
  • Vegetable oil – 40 ml.
  • Ground black pepper – 10 gr.
  • Hard cheese – 80 gr.
  • Mayonnaise – 3 tbsp. spoons

1. Cut the pork into 3-4 cm pieces. Fry the meat in a hot frying pan, greased with vegetable oil until golden brown.

2. Chop onion and garlic into small cubes. Three carrots on a coarse grater.

3. Add onion and garlic to the fried meat. Simmer for two minutes.

4. Next, add carrots to the meat and fry until they become soft. Salt and pepper the ingredients and mix.

5. Cut the potatoes into strips.

Add salt, pepper, mayonnaise and mix.

6. Place meat on the bottom of the baking dish, then potatoes.

Sprinkle grated cheese on top and cover with a lid or foil.

Place the potatoes to bake at 180 degrees for 1.5 hours.
