Options for preparing low-calorie dishes for those losing weight
Soups
For housewives, a multicooker may seem like a modern analogue of a Russian stove. Previously, all the food and water were placed in pots, covered with a lid and left in a heated oven. After some time, the rich and very aromatic soup was ready - you can do the same in a familiar slow cooker. At the same time, the ingredients of the soup will not turn into porridge, but will retain their neat shape.
Vegetable soup. For cooking you will need the following products:
- broccoli cabbage – 80 g;
- carrots – 40 g;
- cauliflower – 80 g;
- onion – 1 pc.;
- canned corn – 30 g;
- onion greens - add to taste;
- water – 500 ml;
- salt, pepper - to taste.
To begin, drain the liquid from the can of corn, cut the carrots into cubes, chop the onion and divide both types of cabbage into small florets. Place all ingredients in a multicooker container (except green onions), add water and add salt and pepper. Next, stir the soup base and close the lid tightly. On the “Menu” panel, select the “Soup/Stew” program and set the cooking time to 30 minutes. Once the cycle is complete, add the green onions and arrange for serving.
Meat fish
On a regular stove or in the oven, the meat can sometimes come out too tough, and the fish can dry out. In the slow cooker they turn out incredibly tender and soft, regardless of the piece chosen. Such dishes come out especially juicy and tasty when you select the “Stew” mode. For this you need a very small amount of water - the products literally simmer in their own juice, which has a positive effect on the taste.
Meat in its own juice. For a tasty and aromatic dish you need a minimum of ingredients:
- meat fillet – 0.5 kg;
- salt, pepper - add to taste.
First, cut the meat fillet across the grain into small pieces, about 2 cm thick. Then lightly beat each piece with a kitchen hammer and coat thoroughly with spices and salt. Then place the pieces into the multicooker container. You can also wrap each piece in foil, using a special stand (the foil should not touch the walls of the multicooker so as not to damage the device). Set the cooking time to 30-40 minutes in the “Stew” mode. After cooking, this meat can be served on a bed of vegetables or use another side dish to taste.
Note! If you have time, you can marinate the fish or meat the day before cooking (about 3-6 hours depending on the hardness and size of the product). In this case, the dish will acquire a more piquant taste and aroma. Marinate the pieces for 3-6 hours.
Side dishes
Any side dishes can be easily prepared in a slow cooker without the use of fat or regular vegetable oil. The result is the most healthy, light and beneficial food for the stomach. In a slow cooker you can easily make a crumbly side dish or milk porridge without lumps. At the same time, the taste of cereals and vegetables will delight even gourmets, since it turns out to be as natural and rich as possible.
Potato slices. For a simple side dish you will need:
- potatoes – 4 pcs. medium size;
- salt, pepper - add to taste.
To begin with, the potatoes should be thoroughly washed from the soil and peeled. Next, cut it into separate halves or quarters (focus on the size of the tubers) and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Place the pieces on a special tray in the multicooker (the dish will be cooked under the influence of steam) and pour in a little water. The steaming time for potatoes is approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on the selected variety and size. Serve the prepared side dish hot with the addition of 1-2 tablespoons of unrefined olive oil and chopped herbs.
On the eve of cooking, you should not soak the potato tubers in water, as they will lose valuable vitamins and minerals.
Vegetarian food
Absolutely all dishes according to vegetarian recipes in a slow cooker turn out very aromatic, tasty and nutritious. Thanks to different techniques, you can get quite a variety of food for everyday and holiday menus within one kitchen appliance.

- beets (medium size) – 1 pc.;

- olive oil – 15-20 g.
Start the cooking process by pre-processing the vegetables. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes, grate the peeled carrots and beets on a coarse grater. Place all vegetables in a multicooker bowl and mix well. Next, add the washed buckwheat, olive oil and spices. Pour water and mix the base of this dish again. Set the “Stew” mode in the multicooker menu and the cycle time to 30 minutes. After cooking, decorate individual portions of the dish with herbs.
