If you urgently need a tasty snack, then homemade pita chips are one of the best options. This is a great alternative to a store-bought product. They are easy and quick to prepare, and eating them is a pleasure.

Crispy pita chips in a frying pan

To get a large bowl of delicious homemade chips, you need to take simple thin store-bought pita bread, your favorite vegetable oil, spices, herbs and herbs. There are two cooking options - cut the pita bread already coated with sauce into squares or break the already baked one into pieces. The second option saves a lot of time, but the appearance of such a snack is not very appetizing. Neat squares, diamonds or triangles look much better.

Depending on the spices and oil used, the taste will be different, so you can experiment endlessly.

Chips in a frying pan cannot be called healthy, but they still turn out very appetizing, so it’s worth cooking them at least occasionally.

The ingredients are simple and affordable:

  • pita;
  • refined sunflower oil;
  • paprika and salt - to taste.

Preparation:

  1. Cut the pita bread into squares with scissors.
  2. Pour in the vegetable oil and mix gently with your hands so that all the pieces are lubricated.
  3. Add salt and paprika.

Fry in small portions in a hot frying pan.

Cooking a snack with herbs in the oven

One of the easiest ways is to cook pita chips in the oven. You can completely trust yourself in choosing greens. You can use dried basil, dill, cilantro, parsley or chopped fresh.

Such chips are harmless, since they do not contain chemical additives, flavors and carcinogens, which inevitably appear during the frying process.

To do this you need to prepare a minimum of products:

  • several sheets of pita bread;
  • any fresh greens – 1 large bunch;
  • garlic – 2-3 cloves;
  • vegetable oil – 5 tbsp. l.;
  • salt and pepper.

Preparation:

  1. Wash the greens, dry well, chop finely.
  2. Chop the garlic. Combine all ingredients for coating and mix.
  3. Unfold the lavash sheets on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  4. Grease the dough with vitamin sauce.
  5. Cut into squares or diamonds that are not too small, as the pieces shrink in size during cooking. It is better to lay them out in one layer so that they bake evenly. But if time is short, you can put everything on a baking sheet, but stir them several times during the cooking process.

Cook in a well-heated oven for no more than 5 minutes. The main thing is not to overcook the snack in the oven, otherwise it will become too dry and lose its taste.

We call pita chips “baby chips.” And the backstory is this: the little granddaughter of a close friend saw adults crunching chips, of course she asked, but she was told that children were not allowed. How can this not be done? To prevent crying and calm the child, they promised to buy special baby chips. There was a faint hope that the baby would forget, but while visiting her grandmother, she demanded these children's chips. The gullible grandfather almost ran to look for them, and my creative friend coated the pita bread with butter with a pinch of salt and sugar, cut it and baked it in the microwave for a couple of minutes. It turned out great! I offer a slightly modified, simply simple recipe for instant crispy chips. Without frying, flavor enhancers, transgenic fats, dyes and other fast food delights. In addition, Armenian lavash contains nothing but flour, water and salt, so the recipe is suitable for a vegan menu. My recipe is intended for adults; I add spices, including hot pepper. Compound:

  • Thin yeast-free lavash - 1 sheet
  • Vegetable oil (olive) - 2 tablespoons
  • Paprika and hot pepper mixture - 1 teaspoon
  • Mixture of black pepper, coriander, savory - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried herbs (basil, dill) - 1 teaspoon
  • Hard cheese - 30-40 grams, optional

How to Make Vegan Pita Chips in the Microwave

The list of spices is a recommendation; you can take any spices; ready-made mixtures of hops-suneli or Provençal herbs are perfect. Cut the pita bread randomly with scissors.

Stir your favorite spices into the oil. I don’t add sugar, I didn’t like it with sugar, you can add salt if you want chips with beer.

Cover the microwave dish with paper (cut to the size of the dish). Place the lavash pieces in one layer and coat with oil and spices. I do it quickly, without fanaticism, not particularly trying to coat each piece evenly.

Cook vegan thin pita chips with spices in the microwave. From 4-5 minutes at 650 W to 1.5 minutes at 900 W. Control the process. Everything bakes very quickly. A large sheet of pita bread will make three dishes of chips. Another optional addition is cheese. If the chips are not for vegan nutrition, cheese will greatly decorate and add additional taste and aroma. I made the last batch of chips to my liking, no longer vegan, without hot peppers and with grated cheese.

Crispy, aromatic vegan chips according to the simplest recipe from thin pita bread in the microwave are ready. Not a recipe, but a gift - a minimum of fuss, will help out in case of a sudden visit from unplanned guests. And finally, it’s so yummy!

How to make pita chips in the microwave?

It cooks quickly. The main thing is to choose a low power to avoid burning.

Ingredients:

  • Armenian lavash – 1 package;
  • oil – 3 tbsp. l.;
  • paprika, Provençal herbs;
  • salt.

The list of components can be changed at your discretion.

Preparation:

  1. Mix oil with salt and spices. It is better to do this in a deep bowl, so that later it is convenient to mix the dressing with pieces of pita bread.
  2. Roll the pita bread into a roll and cut into pieces. Then unfold the blanks, stack them on top of each other and cut into slices.
  3. Mix the preparations with the oil mixture. Place on a plate covered with baking paper in one layer.

Cook for no more than 2 minutes, monitoring the process. It will not be possible to bake all the preparations at once, so you will have to do this in several batches.

Lavash chips with olive oil and spices in the microwave

  • Armenian lavash – 1 package;
  • paprika – 1 tsp;
  • olive oil – 3-4 tbsp;
  • powdered sugar – 1/3 tsp;
  • French herbs – 1 tsp;
  • salt – 0.5 tsp;
  • hard cheese – 70 gr.

Pour olive oil into a bowl. Add salt, powdered sugar, herbs and paprika to it. Mix everything.

Cut out two circles from parchment paper that will be equal in size to the diameter of the rotating plate in the microwave.

After this, roll the pita bread into a tube and cut into rolls, about 3 cm wide. Unroll the rolls and fold the ribbons one on the other. Cut the lavash ribbons into triangles or diamonds - whichever you prefer.

Place the chopped pita breads in a bowl with oil and spices. Mix with your hands so that all the pita breads are evenly coated in the mixture and spices.

Place the pita bread pieces on parchment paper. Sprinkle the pita bread with cheese, previously grated on a fine grater.

Place the prepared product in the microwave and cook the chips for 2 minutes, turning on the device at full power.

Meanwhile, place the remaining pieces of pita bread on the second circle of parchment paper. Also sprinkle them with cheese.

Remove the finished chips from the microwave. Microwave the second batch. Cook also for 2 minutes, turning the microwave back on at full power.

With cheese and ham

Even the most demanding gourmet will not refuse chips with the taste of cheese and ham.

The most common products you will need:

  • pita;
  • sour cream – 0.5 tbsp;
  • ham – 60 g;
  • cheese – 100 g;
  • large egg;
  • salt, spices, herbs.

Preparation:

  1. Beat the egg. Add sour cream, season to taste.
  2. Grease the pita bread with the resulting sauce.
  3. Grind the cheese and ham and sprinkle evenly over the mixture.
  4. Cut the leaf into small pieces.

All that remains is to place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and wait 7-8 minutes.

Appetizing roll with sausage and cheese

You can often hear that fast food is harmful to health, disrupts digestion and makes you overweight. But if you cook pita bread with cheese and sausage in the microwave, you will get a nutritious and absolutely harmless snack that will fill you up for the whole day.

Required Ingredients

  • thin pita bread (can be round) – 1 pc.;
  • sausage or frankfurters – 150-160 g;
  • Parmesan cheese – 60 g;
  • lettuce leaves – 10 g;
  • tomato – 1 pc.;
  • mayonnaise – 2 tbsp;
  • garlic – 1 clove;
  • soy sauce – 2 tbsp.

Cooking steps

  1. According to this recipe, pita bread in the microwave needs to be greased with sauce, so let’s start preparing it.
  2. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, soy sauce and finely grated garlic.
  3. Grease the flatbread with the prepared sauce. Lay out the lettuce leaves.
  4. Now it's time for the filling. Cut the sausage into strips and the tomato into slices. Three cheese on a grater. Place the sausage in a row first, cheese next to it and tomato slices on top.

  • egg;
  • garlic, paprika, salt.

Garlic can be used fresh or dried.

Preparation:

  1. Beat the egg with sour cream until smooth.
  2. Grind the cheese and add it to the egg-sour cream mixture. Season to taste.
  3. Unfold the pita bread on baking paper and generously coat with sauce. Cut into slices.

Cook for 7 minutes. Remove from the oven, wait until the chips have cooled, and only then transfer to a plate.

Lavash with mushrooms, chicken and cheese

The most popular recipes for lavash with fillings are already known. But let's also look at the classic version, which includes cheese, boiled chicken and mushrooms. If you have all these products in your refrigerator, consider that you are guaranteed a quick and satisfying breakfast. Moreover, in just a couple of minutes.

Ingredients needed

  • pickled champignons – 6-7 pcs.;
  • boiled chicken breast – 120-160 g;
  • hard cheese – 70-75 g;
  • mayonnaise – 2 tbsp;
  • soy sauce – 2 tbsp.

Cooking step by step

  1. Cut the mushrooms into thin slices, tear the chicken breast into pieces, grate the cheese on a medium grater.
  2. Grease the pita bread with mayonnaise and soy sauce sauce.
  3. Place mushrooms over the entire surface (without touching the 1-2 cm edges), meat on top and sprinkle with cheese.
  4. Roll into a roll.
  5. Bake lavash with filling in the microwave for 7 minutes at 800 W.
