Cooking from shortcrust pastry

Minute shortbread cookies turn out crumbly and tender. Please note that the thinner the sheet of dough, the crispier it will be.

Required Products:

  • Use sugar as desired;
  • a glass of flour;
  • a stick of butter;
  • 200 grams of processed cheese.

Cooking process:

  1. Grind the cooled cheese and butter using a grater, combine them with flour and start mixing so that the result is a dough-like mass.
  2. Cut it into pieces, make thin sheets out of them, cut out any shapes and put them in the oven for at least 10 minutes, turning the heat level to 180-200 degrees.

How to cook “Minutka” cookies with jam”

First, put pre-softened butter in a bowl and add sour cream to it.

Using a mixer, beat the butter and sour cream until smooth.

Now we begin to gradually add flour, first add 1 glass and mix everything with a mixer, then add flour in small portions.

When it becomes difficult to mix the dough with a mixer, put it on a table sprinkled with flour, continue kneading the dough with your hands, gradually adding flour. Add enough flour so that the dough is soft, elastic and does not stick to your hands. Wrap the finished dough in cling film and place in the freezer for 20-30 minutes.

After the time has passed, place the dough again on a floured table and roll it out into a layer approximately 5-6 mm wide.

Then cut the rolled out dough into squares with a side of 5-6 cm.

Now we put a little jam in the middle of each square, about 0.5 teaspoon. It is advisable that the jam be thick, otherwise it may spread on the baking sheet.

We connect the opposite edges of the square and carefully pinch them.

Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil and place cookies on it. Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 175-180 degrees and bake for 15-20 minutes.

Our cookies are ready and, since we did not add sugar to the dough, they turned out moderately sweet. Bon appetit everyone!

Adviсe

  • Do not use too rich butter in the shortcrust pastry recipe. Otherwise, the cookies will not hold their shape. This is especially important if a pastry syringe is used.

Do not add too much filling. It will leak out under the influence of temperature and the bottom of the Minutka cookies will burn.

  • Use powdered sugar or cinnamon for decoration.
  • After the baked goods are ready, brush each piece with water (not much). This will allow the cookies not to harden for a long time. It will remain tender and crumbly.
  • The oven temperature should not exceed 2200C. Otherwise, the baked goods will turn out dry.
  • Minutka cookies should be stored for no more than 10 days.
  • To create a golden crust, brush the cookies with whipped egg white or butter.
  • Instead of jam, use jam, condensed milk or dried fruit. Use boiled condensed milk, otherwise it will leak onto the baking sheet.
