It is a real pleasure for any housewife to pamper her family with delicious homemade baked goods. But, unfortunately, a modern woman has catastrophically little time for culinary masterpieces. If you don’t have much free time, you can treat your family with crispy pastries, for example, puff pastries with apples.
Both adults and children will be happy to see on the table delicate puff pastries made of yeast or puff pastry in the form of triangles, envelopes or roses with fragrant apple slices inside, sprinkled with airy powdered sugar. And most importantly, the recipe for the “Puff Puff with Apple” dish is extremely simple; even an unprepared housewife can prepare it.
Puff pastries with apples from ready-made puff pastry
- a pack of ready-made puff pastry – 500 g;
- fresh apples – 4-5 pieces;
- sugar – 2-3 tablespoons;
- optional honey, ginger or cinnamon - half a teaspoon.
- Place the puff pastry on a floured cutting board. If it was frozen, then let it thaw at room temperature for at least half an hour. Under no circumstances should you defrost puff pastry in a microwave oven or under warm water. It is very important that the mass becomes soft on its own, otherwise it will lose its wonderful properties and the dish will not turn out.
- Let's make the filling. We thoroughly wash the apples, peel and core them with seeds, cut them into slices, slices or cubes. Mix sugar with cinnamon or ginger. If you don’t have them at home, you can completely do without them, it will also be delicious.
- Roll out the dough with a rolling pin into a fairly thin layer and cut it. You can choose different shapes for your puff pastries: envelopes, corners, roses, scallops. Choose your favorite design option and go ahead! Mix the apples with the sugar mass, arrange them in equal portions and carefully pinch the edges with your fingers or a fork. It is not recommended to mix the filling in advance, otherwise it will yield juice and flow, making such products much more difficult to mold.
- We prepare the baking sheet in advance: grease it with oil, sprinkle it with flour or cover it with parchment paper. Each housewife has her own usual method. Place the envelopes on a baking sheet so that the edges do not touch, put them in an oven already preheated to 200 0 C. Bake the delicacy until a beautiful golden color for 20-30 minutes.
- We transfer the finished aromatic products with a spatula from the baking sheet into a beautiful plate, brew tea and invite our loved ones for dessert.
Puff roses with apples
Puff pastries in the shape of roses look original and romantic. Surprisingly, it’s not at all difficult to make them yourself and please your loved one in the evening. The process of preparing them is almost similar to the puff pastries given in the recipe above. The only difference is the shape of the product, surprisingly similar to a rosebud.
- a pack of ready-made puff pastry – 500 g;
- fresh apples – 4-5 pieces;
- sugar – 2-3 tablespoons;
- Cut the rolled out dough into even strips no more than 3 cm wide and 30 cm long.
- Apples are cut into thin slices 1-2 mm.
- Next, they are boiled in sweet water with cinnamon for several minutes to soften.
- Now we lay out the pieces of filling into overlapping strips and roll them into roses. They need to be firmly sealed at the bottom so that the juice does not leak out during baking.
- Next, put all this beauty on a baking sheet and bake at 200C for 20 minutes.
Curd dough buns with apples and poppy seeds

Ingredients
- 2 apples;
- 2–3 tablespoons lemon juice;
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon;
- 160 g sugar;
- 200 g cottage cheese;
- 2 eggs;
- ¼ teaspoon salt;
- 70 ml vegetable oil;
- 300 g flour;
- 1 tablespoon baking powder;
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds.
Preparation
Remove the core from the apples. Then cut the fruit into thin slices. Place in a bowl and sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix cinnamon and 60 g sugar.
Beat cottage cheese with 1 egg, remaining sugar, salt and vegetable oil to obtain a homogeneous mass. Add flour and baking powder. Knead a soft dough that does not stick to your hands. Cover with a towel or cling film and leave for 20–25 minutes.
Divide the dough in half. Take one part and roll it out to form a thin round cake. Cut it into eight triangles from the center. On each piece, make cuts in the direction from the top so that they do not reach the base by a couple of centimeters. Brush the tops with beaten egg. Place several apple slices on the wide part of the triangles and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Cover the top with the narrow part and distribute the cut ones so that they cover the apples. Fold the top of the triangle under the base and press down. Do the same with the second part of the dough.
Brush the buns with egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment and bake for about 20 minutes at 200°C.
