Add lemon juice as desired. I usually use it if I replace baking powder with soda, so to speak, instead of vinegar for extinguishing.

2. Now mash the curd mixture again with a fork until the lumps completely disappear.

3. Let's move on to the next stage. Mix baking powder with flour and add small portions to the curd mass. Please note that the flour must be sifted.

Our task is to continue kneading until a homogeneous mass is obtained. The dough should not be tight and soft enough.

4. Wrap the finished dough in a plastic bag and put it in the refrigerator. We keep it there for 20-30 minutes. Then we take it out and, for convenience, divide it into two equal parts. Roll out a rope from one half and divide it into pieces.

Please note that the balls must be the same size. This way they will be ready at the same time.

Roll the resulting pieces into even balls. Here it’s more convenient for anyone, I usually roll it on the table. And someone carries out this manipulation between two palms. In any case, I advise you to try both methods.

5. Now take a deep frying pan and pour vegetable oil into it. Please note that the balls must be completely covered with oil during frying. This way they will acquire a brighter and more beautiful color.

The oil should be heated thoroughly over medium heat. You can check its readiness by dropping a small piece of dough; if it immediately begins to bubble and rise up, then feel free to lay out the curd balls.

3. Add sifted flour and baking powder to the resulting mass.

7. Form balls and place them on a baking sheet dusted with flour so that they do not touch.

How to make cottage cheese donuts with semolina from soft (homemade) cottage cheese

Let's move on to the next recipe. In this case, we will form products not in the form of balls, but in the form of donuts. Why not? The dough is similar to cottage cheese, but the shape is slightly different. I suggest you dream up a little and try a newer option. By the way, in this case we will use exclusively homemade cottage cheese. So, run to the grandmothers at the market for a portion of fresh dairy ingredients.

1. Let's start kneading the dough. Immediately take a deep bowl. Add eggs, vanillin, salt, sugar, mayonnaise and cottage cheese to it. Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Give this process enough time. So that all products acquire a uniform consistency.

Now we add the entire amount of semolina here. Then add flour in small portions and continue kneading. If necessary, transfer the dough to the table and continue kneading.

2. Form the finished dough into balls, slightly larger in size than in previous recipes. Then, using two fingers, we make a small but even hole in the center.
