Each layer should be generously greased with mayonnaise.

I always use good quality canned corn. It’s better not to skimp here and buy delicious, sweet corn.

Some people use boiled frozen corn that they have stored for the winter, but I prefer canned corn.

Eggs

Ideally, it is better to use homemade eggs, but store-bought eggs are also fine.

Fresh cucumbers

The crab stick salad turns out delicious and fresh with cucumber. But it is not always possible to find fresh cucumbers on sale in winter, so the salad was supplemented with rice and the cucumber was removed. In my opinion, it tastes better with cucumber.

I usually boil rice round (or long). The most important thing is not to turn the rice into porridge, so I buy expensive rice (I like jasmine or basmati)

I won’t say that use only homemade mayonnaise, because you don’t always have the time and opportunity to prepare it.

Therefore, you can dress the salad with homemade or store-bought mayonnaise (you can choose the fat content yourself). Also, many housewives mix sour cream with mayonnaise or yogurt.

Mayonnaise in a salad acts as a connecting link, so you shouldn’t add a lot so as not to weigh down an already hearty dish.
