  • Walnut kernels

Preparation:

Remove the canned pineapples from the liquid, then cut into cubes and cut the ham into thin strips. Boil the potatoes, peel and grate on a coarse grater. We do the same with eggs: boil, peel and grate. Peel the orange and cut into small slices. Cut the onion into half rings, as thin as possible, and scald it with boiling water. The salad is laid out in layers on a large pineapple-shaped dish: half potatoes, then mayonnaise, then half ham, mayonnaise again, then half an orange, followed by onion half rings, mayonnaise again, then half eggs, mayonnaise again, then half pineapple cubes, mayonnaise again and then again in the same order. Decorate the pineapple with walnut kernels and green onions. This salad definitely needs to sit for 20-25 minutes to soak in.

Cooking a dish step by step with photos

Step 1

To prepare this simple, tasty and juicy salad, we will need the following ingredients: canned pineapple, canned corn, chicken eggs, ham and mayonnaise.

Step 2

Immediately set the chicken eggs to boil (in my case, large ones, and take 5-6 small ones). hard-boiled - 9-10 minutes after boiling over medium heat. To prevent the eggs from cracking during cooking, they should be at room temperature, just like the water. In addition, you can additionally salt the water or pour a little vinegar - then the likelihood of damage to the shell is minimized. Cut the ham into small cubes.

Step 3

Carefully strain the canned pineapples from the liquid and cut into small cubes. For salads, I buy pineapples in pieces rather than pucks - they are cheaper.

Step 4

When the chicken eggs are cooked, cool them (preferably and quickly under cold running water), peel them and finely chop them with a knife.

Step 5

All the components of the salad are ready, so all that remains is to assemble it. We will lay the products in layers, coating each with a generous portion of mayonnaise (you may need a little more or less than indicated in the recipe). How to serve the salad is up to you - it can be on a common platter or in portions. I cooked it on one plate using a split ring (I made it with a minimum diameter of 16 centimeters). Place it on a flat plate, having previously lined the bottom with green salad leaves for beauty (this is optional, so green salad is not included in the list of required ingredients).

Step 6

We begin to form the salad. The first layer is canned corn, from which you need to drain the brine.

Step 7

Apply a generous mesh of mayonnaise to each layer (there will be a total of 3 layers that will need to be coated). I always make this recipe at home.

Step 8

Next, lay out an even layer of ham cubes, which should also be seasoned with cold sauce.

Step 9

Place the boiled chicken eggs, which we have chopped, in the third layer. Don't forget to apply the remaining mayonnaise on it.

Step 10

Finally, lay out the pieces of canned pineapple (I recommend squeezing it lightly so that the salad does not drip). Carefully level and compact it, if desired, put it in the refrigerator for half an hour and you can serve.

Step 11

As a decoration, I used a leaf of green salad, which I cut into pieces and twisted into the shape of flowers.

Remove the split ring and you can serve the salad with pineapples, ham and corn.
