6 recipes for bulk pie – it just couldn’t be simpler!

A very tasty and easy-to-prepare cottage cheese pie made from crumbs with the addition of apples won me over the first time. I learned the recipe from a friend and now I want to share it with you. A bulk pie with cottage cheese always turns out great and instantly disappears from the table. The hardest part is waiting for the cake to cool completely so you can cut it into neat pieces.

Step-by-step preparation

First, let's prepare the filling for the cottage cheese pie. In a deep bowl, combine cottage cheese, 3 chicken eggs, granulated sugar and vanillin. The latter can be replaced with vanilla sugar or vanilla extract.

Using an immersion blender, blend the ingredients into a homogeneous mixture. Add two tablespoons of semolina to it to make the filling thicker. Leave the curd filling for 30 minutes so that the semolina swells. Thanks to this, the finished bulk pie with cottage cheese in the oven will keep its shape well.

Let's prepare sand crumbs. Sift premium wheat flour into a deep bowl. Add granulated sugar, baking powder and a pinch of fine salt to it. Using a whisk or spoon, stir the dry mixture until all ingredients are combined.

Grind the cold butter using a coarse grater.

Quickly grind the dry mixture with grated butter to obtain fine and slightly moist crumbs. Try to do everything quickly so that the butter does not start to melt.

Line a heat-resistant baking dish with parchment paper or grease it with butter. Place half of the sand crumbs on the mold, distributing it evenly around the entire perimeter. Using a fork or silicone spatula, press down the crumbs.

Peel two apples and remove the core and seeds. Grind the apples on a coarse grater and add them to the curd filling. Mix the filling until it is completely combined with the grated apples.

Transfer the curd and apple filling into a mold with shortbread crumbs. Spread it evenly with a spatula.

Place the remaining shortbread crumbs in an even layer on top of the filling.
